New Forum Appreciation Thread
-
Thanks to everyone at IHUK for all the work you put into finding a new forum format. I am completely illiterate when it comes to this stuff, but I already appreciate the new interface. I think it’s so much easier to navigate, post, search and read. I’m sure it’s been a headache so thanks for persevering and making it happen. I love it and think all members will (ultimately) benefit. Appreciate you guys!

When I was able to upload a picture from my phone without error message about unsupported format, I knew @AdamJ hit the gold. And then there are so many other things that have improved. The stats will tell, but I feel like I’m posting way more since the update. Thank You guys for all the hard work!

Thanks everyone at IH for this new UI, modern, easy to browse and read, mainly on mobile devices.
It’s a huge, huge improvement for such a lively forum.
Well done! -
Not being a fan of change, I was extremely hesitant towards this move. I loved the old forum because I had put a lot of time and effort into it to get the most out of it. It wasn’t intuitive and definitely had some quirks, but I realized in speaking with Giles, Alex, and Reuben during our time together in November that this time had to come.
That being said, I am really starting to enjoy this forum and like the old one, you have to put a little time and effort into it to get what you want out of it. I find that this current iteration is more intuitive and much more user friendly. With time I can see myself loving this one as much as or more than the old one.
As one of the beta testers, I can say that this iteration is much better than the previous testing formats and I want to applaud everyone who has put so much time and effort into such a great place.
@AdamJ @jtaylor69 You guys knocked it out of the park as well as all of the IH crew who put this together. Take a bow and bravo. You earned it!!

I agree with you all. I’m still figuring it all out but so far I’m super happy with the changes. Well done.

I appreciate the fact that if you hover over a link to another post on the forum, you get a pop-up window of that post.....
Try it......

I also like that you can have the forum open on iPhone and iPad separately from Safari, like an indipendent app.
Just open the forum in Safari, tap the share icon and choose Add to Home Screen.
The website fav icon will be the forum “app” icon.
The forum will open full screen in its own page.Nice Tapatalk replacement.

Truly @AdamJ and @jtaylor69 great job.

Possibly posting this question in the wrong place... but is there a way I can see recent posts in a thread of their own, rather than seeing the links to the various threads when I'm looking at the 'Recent' page?
I'm not sure if this makes sense, but on the old forum I could scroll down and read recent posts without having to click on the individual threads.
