I live on the east side of Cleveland, Ohio. Just moved back to my hometown after living all over the world with the Navy for 23 years. Notably, I was in Tokyo from 2009-2012, when Iron Heart was first brought to my attention. Bought my first 634 at Americaya in Ueno. Best place to be stationed ever. Many many excellent memories.

@1963rookiestar , welcome. It's good to have you here. I'm a Milwaukee native, myself.
-
@scooter thanks. I’m relatively new to Wisconsin. Any recommendations for local stores/brands that carry high quality/durable gear?
-
@1963rookiestar , only one recommendation, MILWORKS. It's in the 3rd ward, just south of downtown Milwaukee. Lovely shop. Great owners. I try to stop in 3 to 4 times a year...
-
@scooter Thanks for the recommendation. Definitely going to check this place out

Somewhere in the US, at the end of the road, with my own little oval/dirt track and miles of forest in the backyard.
I am a people person, especially when they are really really far away.

@hillbilly
Sometimes I wish I could be a hillbilly.I was watching The Thin Red Line last night and there was an exchange between the characters played by Jim Caviezel and Sean Penn:
Private Witt: Do you ever feel lonely?
First Sgt. Welsh: Only around people.I live in Barnet, London. Barnet was a frequently used and well known word in London when I was younger because it's part of Cockney rhyming slang.
-
@hillbilly my wife and I recently moved away from a small city and into a wooded area, also at the end of a road. Not quite as rural as you, but pretty close to it. I do not miss the city at feckin' all. If you look at the top left corner, you will see a sliver of the Potomac river which is used as the border for Maryland and West Virginia. The river is a ten minute walk from our house. Our dogs love it and so do we!
Edit: I meant to add, just north of the red pin, if you look closely you will see a road called Spider Web Lane. I am so envious of my neighbors who live on a street with such a spooky name.

@Oaktavia One thing about living in the woods with wife, you will really find out either you love your wife or just tolerate her
-
@hillbilly that was clear super quickly! Depends on the day 🥴
@Jett129 that's awesome and hilarious
