The symbol in the middle is the Celtic symbol for the 'Rowan' tree, The Tree of Life, my son's name (as you know)
The outer ring is an 'Oroborous', a serpent eating it's own tail symbolising eternity.
My son was also born in the Chinese year of the Snake, hence the serpent (tenuous I know)

DS knows someone in Little Tokyo too but you may need an appointment with him.
