That sucks, @gaseousclay. Glad you got one through. Did you go through Berkeley Supply? Eli is super helpful.

Well the shirt is bone dry. But the sleeves did not shrink very much or at all. Not worth the trouble to soak.
-
@Wlemon oops forgot to tag you in the previous post.

Finally got my xl and it’s a beauty. Sleeves are a little long but other than that the fit is much better. IH knocked this one out of the park. I’d like to see more madras westerns in the future.

Thanks @Graham for helping with sizing. You da man…sleeves longer than I'd usually like, but I can deal with that. A few quick, poor quality, fit pics...I'd appreciate thoughts...

Suits you well. Looks good. But I do think the sleeve openings on this shirt are unusually wide.
-
Thanks Mike. Yeah, narrower sleeve openings are more forgiving of longer sleeves. These are super wide. Did your shirt ever shrink up even a smidge?
-
Nope

My experience as well

I was thinking lastnight that maybe the wide cuffs on the 220 can be attributed to the fact that the fabric is a lot thinner than a UHF. I don't own any other lightweight IH shirts so can't confirm but this seems like the most logical reason for the variance. UHF's are a lot thicker so don't give that appearance because of how the cuffs rest at the end of the wrist.
-
@Giles that could work. I'm giving it a 60 c wash now, and will see what the outcome is. We are on holiday for a couple of weeks, and this is going to be a perfect over shirt for cooler evenings. Once I've lived with the shirt a couple of weeks I'll let you know if additional male snaps might be a gower
This is such a beautiful shirt. The material looks and feels incredible. The build is awesome. Maybe IH should have a UHF and lighter 5.5 range as permenant runs, similar to have 21oz and 14 oz denim. It is also material.

Agree that this shirt is amazing. I think @Giles said he was going to ask H about doing more lightweight shirts, but I could be wrong. They should definitely be a Spring/Summer staple. I'm just bummed that I only got to wear mine once before it started to get hot out.

I've been banging the more-lightweight-IH-shirts-drum for a few years now. The lightweight IH shirts are so damn good and there is nothing else like them on the market right now IMO. 3sixteen is the only brand that comes close with RgT occasionally falling into orbit every few years or so.

No it just seems to be unique to this shirt for whatever reason. I've owned about 6 other lightweight Iron Heart shirts and the cuffs didn't have this issue.
