IHJ-85-NAV - Waterproof Harrington-Style Windbreaker Jacket - Navy
-
Managed to pick up a Large in the navy. I have been lucky (quick) with my last couple of IH purchases. Really like this jacket, well executed, good cut that fits me nicely. Been wearing it mainly with plain waffle tops or sweatshirts. Pleased I snagged the navy as I have too many black jackets already. The red check lining works really well with the outer fabric. Super nice jacket, well chuffed.
Got any fit pics? This is a great jacket that is def my style but unfortunately not going to happen atm. I’d like to continue to live vicariously….

Alright… I got a L and XL... decided to stick with the L. If anyone in the US wants and XL send me a message otherwise it'll be heading back to the UK!

@Anesthetist Here are a few bad quality pictures. I am on a mandatory 14 day lockdown period in a hotel room in Norway prior to heading offshore to work. Best I could do with the phone camera and lighting.
Jacket is size large, layered with an IHTL 1501 also in large. I am 5ft 11" and weigh 187 lbs. Take XL in all my IH shirts.

^ Looks good, great fit and you wear it well ^

Thank you @den1mhead.
Really pleased with the jacket and fit. First IH jacket I have owned so pleased to get the sizing right. The fact that all my IH shirts are XL could have been a red herring, fortunately I chose the large and I think it is the right size. Looks like quite a few folks who take XL shirts are able to size down on the jackets.
Also never owned a Harrington style jacket. All my other coats are black, grey or olive, therefore a Navy Harrington offers something different to my collection.
Been slobbing round the hotel room for days now in shorts and t-shirts. Seemed a bit weird getting dressed up to take these fit pics. Definitely going crazy cooped up, hotel walls encroach on me 2ft per day I swear. Only 6 more days to go then I can go to work.

If I stay in here much longer, at a minimum I will be talking to myself.
I might be able to debate with my phantom self who is best dressed?? ???

Looks like you and I have similar builds. My IH shirts are a mixed bag of L and XL. But, I sized up to XL on most of my IH jackets with the exception of the IHM-20 which I went size medium. I’m sure most here would agree that how you wear your jacket is key to determining fit, but also that there are size variances depending on fabric and construction.

Which retailer(s) did you pull the restock from?

That is about perfect @ddtrash one of the best fits I’ve seen so far with this jacket.
Good luck with the hotel room, I’ll stop bitching about being stuck in my house now.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Does it matter?
Perhaps a sideways manner of inquiring about who is no longer getting them; given that the sizing was a bit unusual, and the navy has sold through so quickly, I was hoping to keep tabs on who might still have one in stock later this spring, when the post-Corona budget is a bit more friendly.

fit looks good to me. raglan sleeves seem to fit a bit differently, waist and sleeve length are good and it's not tight when zipped.

I don't think that we should comment on which retailers are doing what in the current situation, that is not our place. If we take some goods from one or several of them to ease the financial pressure on them when they are able to reopen, that is between us and them and in no way an indication of which retailers are more or less likely to succeed longer term. Highlighting which ones we are taking stock from here only serves to create speculation on that.
