Since I posted a while back asking for sizing help thought I'd follow up. Shoe and boot sizing for me is all over the place since I have narrow feet with even narrower heels. Most dress shoes fit well in 9D, I'm generally 10 in Nike and vans, and 10.5 in Adidas. I've had a couple pair of nicks since 2014ish, a smoke jumper style boot in their 55 last size 9C and a custom build set of Roberts in the 67 last in 9.5C. For my feet these fit pretty identical. My brannock is a 10.5C'ish as my left and right feet are different.
Last year I got to try on a set of Wesco 7500s size 9.5D in the full sole in English tan but they were too long and kinda snug in the toes due to the low height of their celastic? toe cap. After a bit of debate and taking to Chris I put an order in for a set of mister lous in 9D. Was a little worried they'd be too wide and crush down on my toes more. Well right on time, Wesco reached out letting me know the boots were done, 6mo after ordering. Got them today and pretty stoked. The length in spot on and the width is pretty close. Too snug with the insole and a little loose without, so I'm taking that to mean nearly perfect. The toe volume is identical as before, so a little snug but I think it will relax a bit with wear. Fit and finish is definitely above my nicks but still on the work-end with a few things here and there that aren't finished perfectly. I don't mind that at all.
Anyway, like I said, pretty excited as finding boots that fit has been a huge challenge.

@pechelman - Fab. Look great.

Thanks, guys!
Pretty excited about these. Also I noticed something unusual on my pair with completely stitched down heel stays and confirmed with Chris this morning that the new Mr. Lou's wont have pull loops anymore. He also noted future batches will be switching to horween horsehide instead of the maryam.

Saw a cool pair of black roughout boss engineers on a wedge sole at Jinji Paris today last pair in a size 10 and they offered a pretty good discount if anyone’s interested.
-
I’m waiting on a pair of Mr. Lou’s. You mean to tell me they won’t have the loops on the back to help pull them on like my other engineer boots? If so, I have a major issue with that!

Posted this in the wrong product thread at first, but anyhoo: things to post when bored waiting for the chiropractor

@popvulture yo that patina is rad as hell
-
@popvulture looks cool man

Thanks fellas! They're pretty much on my feet every day lately.

Since i have 2 pairs of Engineers(Lofgren) i’m a engineer dude! And a voice inside my head tells me.. psst psst.. try Wesco.. then de demon comes and say: no no you’re a Lofgren dude and so the conversation goes..
-
Hm why stick to one brand? Plenty of room to spread the love around. I have some Role Clubs coming soon. My Lofgren engineers have been great but they're a bit too small for me, so I'll be putting em up for sale once the the RCs show up.
Whatever the case, Wescos are definitely worth a look. Very well made, and a different vibe from Lofgren.

I have Lofgren, Wesco, Viberg, Trickers, and Zerrows in different makes and models and wear them for different moods and occasions and that doesn’t even include sneakers. Wear what you like, but don’t wear crappy fitting shoes. Your feet, knees, and back will thank you for it as you get older.
-
Haha I totally agree with you, man. My mom was always harassing me about wearing Cons and Vans when I was young — "those have no support, and you'll regret it later!"
She was right, obviously. (spoken as my aging body crumbles)

@popvulture totally right man!! Only doubt i have is how they are quality wise compared to Lofgren, what your call about that? Also wich leather did you take your RC’s in?
