IHJ-121-IND - 12oz Indigo Whipcord Type III - Indigo
-
Do I go this or ih-507-slb?!
-
@Dans i recently got a type II jacket the IHJ-72 and it’s such a amazing jacket. Combine that with the slubby structure from IH and you got a winner imo

@Heavy_blue thanks, found one one eBay after posting in wtb and it was priced great so I pounced. Still want this but had to go that route.
-
@Dans nice you found one man! Hopefully you’ll like it
-
Will @Iron-Heart-Germany also have them by Friday? I'm in Hamburg over the weekend and will surely pay them a visit!
-
Do we have the sizing available for this yet?
-
@datblonddood sizing will be posted when it’s available, per usual.
-
Thank you @Freeman!
-
Is this style coming up smaller than the other type 3 jackets I’ve tried on a medium in the 14oz black type and that fit like a glove wound you recommend sticking with medium
-
And will you get high contrast fades like denim fades
-
@Mindfulbiscuit it’s all about the measurements. Different materials etc. can effect the measurements a little. So measure your favorite jacket and use the ‘how we measure’ video on the IHUK website. Then choose the best option for you and for anything specific drop the guys at IHUK a mail so they can be of any further assistance so you’ll get the right size for you.

@Mindfulbiscuit I would not expect high contrast fades, no. Though this is indigo like our jeans, the amount of indigo required to dye whipcord is very high, so it will fade much slower than jeans
-
@Mindfulbiscuit Here's a picture of what @Nik was able to do with his N1 out of the same material:

@tody nice I’m thinking about fading this one

If you want high contrast on indigo whipcord you’d need to accelerate the process. You could do the Filthy method of starching the creases. Or do the old silly APC ocean wash at a sandy beach so you can rub the sand into the areas you want faded. But as Alex says if worn naturally it is slow going. I didn’t notice any real fading of my N1 after years of wear until I washed it. What’s nice about this fabric is that it is soft and strong. This type 3 will be really comfortable to wear and will look a bit more dressed up. I saw the sample and it is a stand out piece. Last bit of indigo whipcord too.
