Nemesis - RIP

Very sad to read this about Gareth. I always enjoyed his posts. My condolences to his other half Pauline. I liked her comment that she didn't realize how big his Iron Heart collection was.

Tomorrow, 16th May 2023, will be @nemesisnow1200 , or Nem, or Gareth's funeral. I wanted to say a few words in addition to those I have already said above.
Gareth joined the forum almost exactly 10 years ago. He was a prodigious poster in the early days, his posts were usually humorous, often acerbic, always kind and mostly peppered with the word "feck", which was adopted by many of us here.
Gareth was proper salt of the earth, he had no airs or graces, called a spade a feckin spade, but you could always tell that he was a genuinely caring and kind person underneath his bikery gruffness.
I spoke to him a few times on the phone but never met him. I am not a great one for regrets, because regret is about something that has happened in the past, and you can't change it, and like Gareth I would prefer to dwell on the good things that will come, but I am incredibly sorry that I never got to share a pint or two with him and shoot shit about feck-all, and I bet it would have been one of my most joyous evenings ever.
I will sorely miss him, as I know a lot of you will too. Cancer is a bitch and my thoughts are with Pauline and Gareth's friends and family.
God Bless you Nem.

Nice words G! And RIP Gareth

I’ve been at a loss for words on Gareth’s passing and still can’t put my thoughts into words. It’s one of those situations where I truly thought he was getting better and we were going to witness some of his motorcycle antics again. The news of his passing hit hard and should remind all of us to enjoy the good days while we can.
He will be missed and as I said before, that I hope he’s smiling, drifting, and destroying tires in his next life.
