@spaniarddh sharp shot man!! Lofgren for life! CXL ones?
Yessiirr! My favourites currently, but still looking for something that I don't have to wear with thick socks or a foam insole due to a very low instep...
-
@spaniarddh same!! Now i must say that the badalassi leather is a little thicker and that’s my first engineer without anny wiggle or shuffle room! Totally cool! Also Mr. Lou’s or otherwise a custom made boot

Creases started to set in. I'm loving it everytime I get to wear them.

Took care of them a bit

@arrow looks amazing man!

Just saw these. I like me a good quality pair of ropers. Anyone of you jumping on this one?
-
@Dmart they look very nice! For now i jumped on a MTO from Quans otherwise a roper boot would definitely be a go! They look so cool! Especially with a 634, cuffed imo
-
@Dmart just yesterday I ordered those roughouts. I really wanted last years version but these look amazing too.
-
@deanclean nice one. Hope you Post picks when they will be with you. They really look great! What is the lead time? 12months?
-
@Dmart it said May of 2024 but they mentioned that they are hoping it will be earlier. They added some extra time I guess. Im hoping under a year but I’ll just try to put it out of my mind and it will be a surprise.

Apologies for not first reading through this whole thread. More looking to start a conversation.
Anyone have a pair of Lofgrens in the Shinki shell cordovan? I’ve been wanting a pair of shell boots and those new olive shell combat boots looks so very nice. Curious if anyone has thoughts or experience with this leather in boots? -
I’m obsessed with JL’s Olive cal Combat Boots, but have seen so many different recommendations on sizing. I’m a bit confused. JL’s site recommends .5 down from Brannock, Standard and Strange recommends 1 size down. I’d tend to trust the manufacturer but so many other sites say 1 full down as well. I had a pair of Viberg 1035 in 9.5 and felt they were too big. I have Red Wing Moc Toes in 9.5 and they fit fine. I’m wondering if I should go 9 or 9.5 in the Combats? Thanks!
-
@sweetlou do you own any JL boots already? I’ve been in contact with both S&S and JL customer service and you’re right, they both say exactly what you report.
I tend to lean towards S&S sizing advice. I bought my JL engineers through them. I’m also interested in those combat boots. I’m a size 9 in their engineers and S&S recommend a .5 smaller in the combats. Though I’ve never tried them on before, the last used and the lace up style boot seem to make sense with S&S advice.
Please keep us informed here. Love to get your first hand thoughts of you end up buying those. So damn nice looking.

@Mizmazzle Will do. I actually have JL USN low quarter derbies in 9.5 and they fit nicely. That tracks with SS recommendation to size down a half size for the derbies, so they seem to be accurate in their fit advice.
