Merz beim Schwanen

Received a "purple blue" (the art teacher in me wishes it was proper and reversed) 7oz shirt today. It fits a tad big which is no bother but I will try and see what a hot wash/dryer session will do. Softer than their 14oz tshirts and less textured, I think will be great for hot temps. The tag states the shirt will lose dye due to washing and sunlight exposure. I am intrigued to see how it evolves and will keep this in mind when chosing my next shirt. Pretty neat brand all around.
The blue UV protector bag was a nice touch. I love that color blue.

Anyone has a idea on how the sizing of the 14oz Merz B is compared to the 1600 tee? I know the fabric is loopwheeled and definitely more slubby then the IH one.
-
@Heavy_blue - my 14oz Merz tee is size Large, while my 1600s are XL. The former is a shorter in length and more boxy than the latter. The Merz is tighter in the chest and shoulders, but my 1600s are deliberately slightly oversized for comfort.
I’ve tried an XL in the Merz before, and it was much too big for me. A tumble dry might’ve fixed that as they do shrink, but I don’t like to play around with margins of error when paying £100 for a tee shirt lol.So for me I go down a size, but i do get a very different fitting T-shirt between the two models. Guess how you go depends on your “key” dimensions.

@jerkules thanks man!

@tody said in Merz beim Schwanen:
@Heavy_blue I'm a XXL in the 1600, and an XL in the 2S14.
Same here

I'm the weirdo that went XL on 1600 and XXL on 2S14. 2S14s have been hot washed and hot dried for shrink and now fit pretty well if a bit boxy. 1600s were smooth and sleek from the get go and continue to be that way with relatively careful washing. All depends on the fit you want and how you will wear it I reckon.

@jerkules nice one! Cool color!
