Photograph and Camera talk

@weftyarn great work, the lantern shots are killer. You’ve inspired me to use my 90mm, I rarely do
-
Sunrise yesterday….
-
I was never much of a photographer, but being surrounded by nature has inspired me. This is one of my many new friends
-
@Sir_Cuffs-a-Lot Really cool how you used the chair to anchor and frame the sunrise. Good job!
-
@moto hell yes let us see some 90!
The lantern ones are shot with the 35 btw. I cropped in a bit though. -
Anybody shooting with the x100v fujifilm?
-
OK then---Ill take that as a No
-
I think the X100V discussion has been pretty vital some pages ago. While I’m 100% happy with my XT4 and being able to chose from many fast primes there’s times I absolutely wish I had the X100V. Unmatched portability and a joy to use. I got to test one when I visited the Fuji House of Photography in London and loved it.
What specifically are you looking to use it for? Maybe I can give you some helpful thoughts.
-
@weftyarn Hey --was just looking to use it for vacation pix, candid moments..and wanting something that I can pocket easily without worrying about a case and the weight.
Im pretty curious to play around with the fuji recipes. I know that they are over 3 years old at this point...but I think I might have found both the silver and black version on Poznan Poland ,
will be doing more research on it this week. -
beautiful shots
-
@steelworker Thank you very much. Felt that they had to be B&W.

Beautiful shots @Jett129
If you’re looking for an „always with you“ it doesn’t get much better than the X100V I think. For travel though you might have to consider the Tele lens adapter so you have just that little bit more flexibility.
Or, if you want to have to most compact solution but with the full flexibility, have a look at the XE4. There’s some great compact lenses (18mm f2, 27mm 2.8, 35mm f2 etc. etc..).
You can find the XE4 for much less than the X100V and can spend the money on glass. It’s no X100 though and many people (including me) see the fixed lens of the X100 as a feature rather than a bug because it makes you walk and stop thinking about which lens to chose.
Oh and the Ricoh GR3 can’t be ignored here. Even more compact, phenomenal camera! Perfect for street & lightweight travel No Fuji Recipes…
Hope this helps

@weftyarn Big help man.. Looked at the Ricoh, the Sony rx 100v11, and various others in that range. Was even shifting my sights to the XT5
.
Will continue shooting with the trusty D750 for now.
The wife will be going to Poznan in the coming week or so.
She will be on the lookout for the x100v while there.thanks man

@dinobarnesberlin Glad I could help!! And let me know when the wife finds two and the price is right haha
@Jett129 The term street photography is strange tbh. I would rephrase it to „when life happens photography“
And life definitely happened in your shots
