Guys, keen to find out what people think of Belstaff leather jackets in terms of quality etc. tried one on yesterday and was quite impressed but haven’t been lucky enough to see an IHJ35 in the flesh to compare…

I have one since many years. I really like it and only wear it on the bike, it’s a heavy motorcycle jacket. Despite discoloring/patina over time, I have had no issues and it does the job. Zippers work very well and it stood the test in rain and thunderstorms.

No leather experience but I’ve got about 1500 miles on a pair of their riding jeans. They’re holding up well so far. Don’t think they’ve got IH level attention to detail but pretty good for mass market brand.

There's an outlet in Portsmouth I've walked into a few times and the leather looks pretty ok for a mainstream brand but is no comparison to Iron Heart or Simmons Bilt

For me the answer is No
Don’t let me put you down that’s my opinion.

IH leathers are amazing.
Flat Head just brought one. Amazing

Fine Creek leathers are good too

I have the IHJ35 that’s make heads turn.

Walk into my kid school. The teachers had their eyes all over it.

For their prices I would rather buy IH or Y2.

Thank you for all your input dudes. I think a few people have hit the nail on the head with prices. The J35 or Real McCoys j100 are about the same and I get the impression that if I can get the sizing right, one of them will be an incredible investment whereas the Belstaff might be a bit more ‘fashionable’. If I’m honest, I feel the fit was decent but the fact it has the emblem on the sleeve is a little…ostentatious maybe?
