Love the differing experience and opinions!
I'll add that I tried one HNW last recently and it was very flat footed and sized much longer than my other 55s from them. Felt like clown shoes, very loose, almost tripped over them tbh. Immediately returned and got a refund. They sat unsold for many months in the ready to ship iirc.
The build quality is totally on par for a super heavy duty no frills boot. Definitely has more overkill in it than the few Wescos I've handled, but I haven't seen that many. The Wesco has a bit more finesse and attention to detail in my limited sampling. But your moc toes look fantastic @kkibbey23 !
A little extra of the leather sole is visible though that could have been trimmed a little closer imo. Especially on the inside of the arch and around the side of the heel. -
@pechelman check your DM’s. Here’s my broken in Toscanellos next to my brand new Horween CXL Brown Lou’s. I like them both, but prefer the darker brown.

Nice rolls

My second pair of Moc toes showed up while I was gone. These are smooth over roughout in 1964 brown.
There’s a good chance these will be my dome pair this year. I’ve got one more pair coming in a cap toe wickett and Craig double stuffed that’s my other choice.
-
My second pair of possible thunderdome pair came. Buck brown double stuffed. The pull up is crazy good
-
@kkibbey23 cool that you’re going in such a different direction to last year’s zerrows engineers. Both would be great dome boots but maybe the mix of rough and smooth on the moc toes gives them the edge in terms of uniqueness for the contest?
-
Yeah, plus those moc toes are a lot more comfortable lol. I’ve got some time ti think that’s for sure.I’ve got another pair of zerrows being built but I don’t think they will be done in time. They have an olive horsebutt now too. What pair Are you wearing this year? any ideas?
-
Olive HB sounds good. Engineers?
I should kept my Yuketen land jordan white fresh for next year but lacked the patience. I’d like to wear a boondocker-type service boot but not sure which. -
Decided to dome these an maybe the zerrows-
-
@kkibbey23 they look amazing!
-
That leather looks like it has a lot of potential for getting really good. Great choice
-
Moving right along with my double dome pairs. The cap toe WC are no where near as comfortable as the moc toes.
-
Eight months of wear for my Urban Loggers. As we head into snow season, decided to give them a thorough cleaning and re-wax.
-
Got a few pics done of the Mocs. Haven’t worn the captoes at all this month. May call it and just wear the Mocs they are so comfortable
Lots of indigo transfer from my 25oz mad blacks

Had a superb experience buying some Nicks accessories recently. I'm UK based, and the process was super straightforward. I decided I wanted to change my order. No problem for Nicks, customer service was spot on and they moved my money to a store credit for the revised purchase.
The experience was so smooth that it got me interested in their boots and subsequently on to this thread.
I'm in no position to make a purchase currently, but it's great to see what everyone is wearing!
Anyone had any experience of their 'Factory Seconds'? Looks like it may be a page worth keeping an eye on?
Peace all ️ -

They look great. What wax do you use?
-
@long_john86 I feel like you can't go wrong with any of the PNW boot makers. I have 3 pairs of Nicks: 8" builder pro in 1964 brown roughout w/ steel toe for work, a 6" black roughout, and a 6" in whicket and craig oiled latigo with 430 mini lugs for something nicer.

@pmadison95 wow solid collection sir
