Finally back on the bike after 5 days of wind and rain from Ophelia

Not exactly a motorcycle but hopefully close enough??
IHGB-01 brown, 5 years, very lightly used, mostly for around town errands. Very comfy gloves.

I want those gloves for winter commuting by bicycle

@nik they’d work nicely on a bike. Super soft, pliable. They have an inner liner (mesh) but they won’t be warm winter gloves.

Getting ready for a trip to Cusco/Machu Pichu later this month.
Just checked brakes…all OK
Dropping her off for a good wash while I wait around. That ugly yellow stain on the paralever arm was caused by gas from the leaky tank (it washed off some glue from an electrical tape wrap) and I still can’t get rid of it. At least the leak is long gone.

Did a 300ish mile ride yesterday up to Globe, AZ. Good ride! Changed outta the UHF cause it was too hot. The pic is from the bathroom at the Drift Inn Saloon. Check it out if you’re ever there, tasty food and cold beer -
Nice mix of riders @Choko !

Not sure whether motorcyclist imprints are a good or bad thing on nice footwear, be that as it may, this is how it shows up after an average of 4 years worth of use. Very light use at that…I’d estimate an average of 100 ‘motorcycle-use days’ for each shoe/boot. Keep in mind this is very light and casual ‘motorcycle duty’. Generally around town tooling around: running errands, meeting people for coffee, a barbecue at a friend’s place; stuff like that.
During real bike trips I use other more dedicated footwear.Brown waxed flesh
Wheat roughout
Black roughout
Mushroom chamois
Natural crust horsehide
Clearly the roughout leathers have suffered the most imprinting, and the wheat and the mushroom ones are the heaviest hit.
The black roughout shows up strongly ‘tarnished’ on these pics, however IRL it is hardly noticeable.
Interesting find, for me, to see how little staining my natural leather on the crust horsehide shows. I’m assuming it is down to it being a smooth leather because as a natural (and quite light colored) I’d have expected stronger stains.
The brown waxed flesh emerges remarkably unscathed. Guess that is what they mean when they market it as a hard core work leather. -
@motojobobo yeah man we had a little bit of everyone there. There was even a guy on a gold wing trike
-
@motojobobo I use this to prevent imprints..

"I have ridden a 500-pound Vincent through traffic on the Ventura Freeway with burning oil on my legs and run the Kawa 750 Triple through Beverly Hills at night with a head full of acid.
I have ridden with Sonny Barger and smoked weed in biker bars with Jack Nicholson, Grace Slick, Ron Zigler, and my infamous old friend Ken Kesey, a legendary Cafe Racer.
Some people will tell you that slow is good-and it may be, on some days, but I am here to tell you that fast is better. I’ve always believed this, in spite of the trouble it's caused me. Being shot out of a cannon will always be better than squeezed out of a tube. That is why God made fast motorcycles, Bubba."
