IH-526Lod - 19oz Left-Hand Twill Selvedge Denim Type III - Indigo Overdyed Black
-
I suppose the 526LOD fades quicker than other cuts, because it’s so stiff: even after quite a few days of wear, it still leaves me rushes at crease of my arms, when I wear just it over a t-shirt

@AdamJ stunning

Well...my 526LOD arrived this morning and it exceeds all expectations! I wanted to add an OD Type III to my wardrobe and was chatting with @Graham at the mothership about the 14oz OD...he told me that if I really wanted the best OD to go for the 19LOD. I will admit after seeing pictures of the non-OD version of this jacket online, I was hesitant to jump into something that looked so stiff and heavy. However, the OD process significantly softens the denim, so I decided to go for it. I ordered the Size L and it fits perfectly (5'10" 168 pounds)...I am blown away by the texture and inky finish on this jacket...I am really thrilled with it!!!

I say this about nearly every new piece of Iron Heart clothing....but this jacket just might be my favorite of all! After the first full day of wear, the elbows are already setting up nicely!

I’d like one one day…but Jesus, how many type 3s can a person have!? (Responses will vary greatly!!)
I think the answer is more standard than you might think being the correct number is n+1, where n is the number of type 3s already owned.
-
@pechelman damn it if you aren’t right! It’s just simple math for god’s sake!!!
-
@Mizmazzle some people also suggest there's a minimum condition for this to be true where n must always be greater than or equal to 3.
-
@pechelman oh shit!! Variables?? Sounds like science to me!!!
-
@Mizmazzle as for IH I have these, then I have a pair of Momotaro type1 and 2, lee101 rider and Levis vintage
-
@Mizmazzle ahaha thanks my friend, the only problem is explaining this law to my partner
-
@Mizmazzle Thanks, brother! I started with a 14oz Type III from IH, then traded that for a 16 Slub. I added a 16 Slub OD but didn't connect with it, so I sold it and then bought this one after comparing it to a 14OD. This 19 LH OD is pretty much EXACTLY what I was looking for and it is a great complement to the non-OD 16 Slub...this jacket just checks all the boxes for me...robust with a heavy grain but still very easy to wear and break in!

I copped one of these in an XXL and boy what a great jacket!! A few days later the size was no longer available, so I am happy I impulse purchased it.
I have a whipcord type 3 in Indigo which I love, but it is not sized to fit a hoody or flannel under it. This one is just right for winter.

@Southern What are your measurements if you don’t mind me asking. I’m 6’ and weigh 180 so I’m debating between an XL and XXL
