Villains (Buying/ Selling/Trading)

I sold an item to this guy and he was a complete cunt to deal with! He payed for the item twice and then without even notifying me contacted his bank who went to paypal and froze my account. I ended up losing money due to issues with paypal and interference with other items I was buying/ selling. When I contacted him regarding it he wrote back with a snarky comment and when I asked him to at least give me positive feedback he replied with sarcasm. Fuck this guy. Too bad he overpaid for the shitty GAP jacket he bought anyways…

superdenim.co.uk is now officially on my "do not buy from" list.
shipping took 2 weeks from UK to Germany, wrong item, no reply to email regarding return - this is like the worst customer service ever.

great that this thread is empty

Completely agree. I also believe that scammers fear the wrath of IH and it's global grip…

It pains me to have to add to this thread. Please do yourself a favor and do not waste your time interacting with Joubin as a buyer. He expressed interest in a shirt I have for sale in the beginning of May asking me to hold the item for a day or two so he could get the money together. I didn't here back from him (which is semi-normal but sad, as anyone who sells on Internet forums knows) until May 21. He wanted to know if I still had the shirt for sale. I responded back saying I did and I sent him the invoice info. Days go by and I recieve another offer from another member. I pm Joubin and inform him that I received another offer on the shirt and that if he is still interested in the shirt to let me know. He responded back "yea man, bought another flannel, thanks for your time though!" But, then promptly responded back "you know what? actually, I might grab this. When do i have to let you know by?" Before I even respond back he pm's me "I'll take the shirt!" Then pm's me "ready to send payment, when I receive your message telling me to send, I will! what shipping you use? any tracking? (I'm in canada)" By this time he has already replied in my sales thread that the item is Sold because he is buying it. I reponded back to him with the shipping price with tracking. He responds back saying "I'll take it w.o tracking. 175 right?". I resonded back that it would be $180 to ship it Canada. He responds "ok, sending money now." The he asks "how long does shipping take?". I respond that it could take up to two weeks. Ten minutes or so later he pm's me "fuck! Your card issuer denied this payment. If you have another debit or credit card linked to your PayPal account, please use that. Or take a moment to link a new debit or credit card. Contact your card issuer if you don't know why you were declined." Then 20 minutes later he pm's me "looks like I'll have to for now. I'll try to figure it out and if i do, and you haven't sold it, I'll buy it." Then 1 minute later he pm's me
**"oh wait,
Dear Joubin Alampour,
You sent a payment for $180.00 USD to My Name.
Please note that it may take a little while for this money request to appear in the Recent Activity list on your Account Overview."**
I never recieved any money or another pm from him. I don't know if he is trying to scam me or just pulling my chain. But, I will never attempt to do business with him again. I know this was probably tedious for anyone reading but, I love this forum and its members and I want to save everyone the hassle of dealing with this kid.
Thanks

ChrisI too have had this same type of experience with joubin on multiple items that I have listed for sale. I refrained from posting him in here as I have more hope for the IH Forum and it's members, however once I saw this I felt obligated to reply. I will no longer deal with joubin as a buyer or seller for anything. I am sure he is a very nice person but I don't have time for games and I am sure none of you do either. Sad day on the forum…

Wow, thanks for the heads-up. That's one guy off the list.

whoawhoawhoa. dude. I was not trying to scam you at all… I got an email saying that I sent payment? And so i told you. If it wasn't confirmed, you could just tell me??? Seriously, I've done business with like 2-3 other members. It's gone super smoothly. This was just an accident, which I am sorry for. I'm going to contact my card issuer because it hasn't appeared in my sent payment list either. Cristeza, you're over reacting, also, you could have easily pm'd me about this, and I would have fixed it asap... Anyways. Don't know what you're trying to do here. I'm not evil. My credit card just flopped for some reason. So, anyone who reads that, you should also read the other side of the story as well. I love this forum and all the members. I honestly feel like part of a family here. It goes past the brand/quality. The people here are wonderful and this results in a special, home-y feeling i've yet to find at other forums... anyways, Sorry Cristeza for that. And Lando, I don't know what your problem is. I didn't know that if i show interest in one of your items, and tell you i'll buy it, i would HAVE TO BUY IT IMMEDIATELY. but you "don't have time or patience..." Anyways, again, I'm sorry Cristeza, i geniuinely had no idea that the money wasn't sent, if you'd like, i can post a screen shot of the email i recieved.
to all else, it's up to you, but I am safe to buy/sell to/with.
Ask Chponglasia, Mikesantor, JBNphoto.
edit:also, seriously, what kind of scam would that be anyways? like, what? That doesn't even make sense... It was an accident. pure and simple.

well, Giles, to be honest, I'd like people to know that I'm not here to scam people. And I hope that the members I've bought stuff from will/can vouch for me here. Cristeza just jumped to a conclusion. Sad too because I really want that flannel. I just hope that his plan of ruining my reputation didn't work. If you guys don't want me on the forum, I won't stick around. I'm sure you know how it feels to be somewhere you're not wanted.

Joubin: next time when you see something you want, just take a deep breath first… Then check your credit on your Paypal account (think it's maxed, is what happened), and send one (1) PM to the seller... And be ready to pay immediately...
It's very frustrating as a seller to sit around waiting to hear from someone who claims s/he wants to buy something only for him to not come through after having been strung around for a day or two... Not saying that was the case here, but it happens so often that sometimes a seller might act presumptious out of frustration... Just my input... It's not just the seller who has to has his act together...

Ok, I'm stepping in now that we have established a history of this behavior
Joubin, this forum is built on respect and courtesy, to which is a two way street
You're holding up people's sales. When you say you're going to buy something, you're actually held at your word. And on an internet forum, your word is all you have.
Clearly you're not getting this.
I'm going to clarify two of your statements you've posted
One, if you tell someone that you're going to buy their item, it's expected you pay up immediately. This is pretty common sense.
Two, a seller is allowed to get upset with you if you've been jerking them around for days. To think that you deserve to be treated well after the level of disrespect you've displayed to your fellow forum members is insane at best
Your reputation as a "Villian" is well deserved.
Sellers: beware
Since I've been given carte blanche on this issue, I request two things:
One, if anyone observes this behaviour again, please contact me
Two, Joubin, if you disagree with anything I've said here, feel free to hit the "Logout" button and not come back here again
