Never done a hot toddy before, but this ain’t bad!
-
@WhiskeySandwich , I've been known to enjoy some toddies, on cold winter nights. They're fantastic when you're suffering with a cold, too. They're also a great way to down a bottle of whiskey you're not particularly fond of, as well.

@scooter all of the above

Grey Goose

that's such a rebellious version @endo! i like it!
If I could only pick one;
2oz Appleton signature (or 12 year if you're feeling special)
.5oz Hamilton Creole Shrubb
1oz fresh lime juice
.5oz Liber & Co Orgeat
.25oz rich demerara syrup
1 drop 30% saline solution
2 dashes angoshake hard with crushed ice, dump, add ice to fill, mint springs, and the hull of one half of lime on top for garnish
The other favorite is essentially identical to the above, but I swap the lime juice for an equal amount of acid adjusted pineapple juice. Basically it's pineapple juice that has the same acidity as lime juice, created by adding the right amount of citric and malic acid.
I'll add that I really like that Hamilton Shrubb b/c it's made with agricole rhum. If you cant find that, then I'd use pierre ferrand's dry curacao, reduce the Appleton rum to 1.5oz, and add in .5oz of your favorite agricole rhum.

a little yo-yo is fine @goosehd, and don't tell me about hangovers @WhiskeySandwich I'm an expert
May I ask you (and the others too), what is your treatment/prevention for these hangovers? I find that the older I get and the less I drink, the worse they get.

@goosehd HAHAHA

@WhiskeySandwich suck it up buttercup...don't do the crime if you can't do the crime...there is none

2 dashes angowow, that's very elaborated. I need to get that Hamilton Creol Shrubb. no Liber & Co in Europe, have to take Monin instead, will try

Good luck!
Making orgeat isnt all too hard either if you want to do something special for the holidays. Anders Erickson has a pretty simple one though I've heard some folks have great luck using unsalted pure almond butter and diluting it with some sugar syrup and a splash of orange blossom water. -

IMO it's rehydration, drink lots of water afterwards, and don't drink too much stuff with sugar when you party, try to sleep as much as you can, suffer the remaining
