IHSH-375-GRY - 12oz Slubby Heavy Flannel Herringbone Check Work Shirt - Grey

@WhiskeySandwich great speculation mate - I was a bit surprised given my understanding was that western shirts are slightly more popular than work shirts (I may be totally off though!)

@kohyo purely speculation, but there’s a chance they could have produced less based on a history of sales numbers…
Not a bad speculation, but wrong in this instance. The factory that used to dye all yarn for UHFs went into administration with yarn in the process of being dyed. We lost all that yarn, and couldnt get more in time, and it happened to be the yarn that was to make the fabric for this shirt. Numbers had to be reduced drastically, and the easiest way for us to deal with that was to heavily reduce the work shirt
-
@Alex sounds like shitluck. How unfortunate.

@Mizmazzle rivet and hide are still showing stock of the work shirt version in large. Doubt their stock will last too long!
-
just recieved mine today, wasnt sure about the colours but im so glad I ordered this shirt in person this shirt is amazing.
-
Well, this is the first UHF/SHF release where I loved the shirt SO much that I decided to buy both the Western and the Work Shirt! The elusive Work Shirt just arrived last night and it is amazing! I am 5'10" 168 and I sized down on the Work Shirt to Medium and had the guys at Rivet & Hide select the biggest P2P/Shulder from the Mediums they had in stock...it fits perfectly! I will post some fit pics later, but here are a few pics...
-
@SaddleSC Wow nice! I'm warming to it a little more since seeing uploads in the wild. Limited budget means one more for me this season. So it's a toss up between the indigo, red or green.
Great stuff though man!

Here is a pic I took outside in natural light to try to capture the true color and subtle texture. Also, here is a quick fit pic on my way out the door! I am not sure whether I prefer the Work Shirt or Western...they both have their own unique charm!
-
@SaddleSC Looks great dude! I picked up the work version too, can’t wait for it to show up.
-
@SaddleSC Looks great man. Do you wear a medium in the western as well? I want this in the work version which would be my first. Not sure if I should stick to the same size as the western which is a medium or go down to a small.

Thanks! I am 5'10" 168 and typically wear a Size Large in the Western shirts. I have quite a few Size Large Work Shirts in Denim and 9oz ombre, but recently started sizing down to Size Medium in the Work Shirts and I really like the trimmer body. If you are on the taller side, then the overall length may be an issue when sizing down. What I like best about sizing down the Work Shirts is that it takes a lot of the extra blousy fabric out from around the torso.
It really all comes down to the measurements on each shirt. The recent run of Chambray, I would still take a Size Large, but the measurements of the UHF/SHF have allowed me to drop to a Medium and I am quite happy with it...hope that helps!
-
@SaddleSC Yes thank you very much. I just want the same fit as the western. Iron Heart's western shirts fit me like they were tailored for me. I just hope to achieve a similar fit with the work shirts.
-
@mentalplane Sounds like sizing down may be the move as long as you are 6' or under. I have the exact same fit on the Westerns as you do...like they are custom-made shirts. When I did not size down in the work shirt, I had a lot of extra fabric in the lower back. At the end of the day, the measurement charts are your best friend. My Size M Work Shirts share a lot of similar measurements to my perfectly fit Size L Westerns...good luck!
-
@SaddleSC ugh... I'm 6'2 I'm assuming the sleeves will be too short
-
@mentalplane Double check the measurements to be sure. The sleeve length on a Work Shirt is already shorter than a Western by design. My concern at 6'2" would be the overall length at the waist...
