IHSH-362-BLK - 16oz Non-Selvedge Denim CPO Shirt - Superblack (Fades to Grey)
-
@WhiskeySandwich Need to send some updates myself, but it feels like the transformation has slowed slightly... Have you found that? I'm still wearing everyday, but I think it'll take a lot longer for more dramatic fades.
-
@Mr-Linz Could be, might just be that relative to the existing evolution, new progress appears less significant. I've been wearing mine a bit less, but still daily. I find unevolved black/black denim to be a bit plain (like my new SBG 888's) but it doesn't take much to make it pop. But I really like the way this CPO looks now. It's reached that milestone where it looks well-loved but not close to worn-out. Would like to see some new pics tho!
-
@WhiskeySandwich Copy that! Will upload some more this week for sure then Totally agree, I feel like mine has it a great spot where it's got clear fades but doesn't look ruined. I've got a custom SOSO CPO coming so I'll probably switch to that in a month or so and wear this bad boy less frequently to enjoy it more if that makes sense.

Just went full-nerd on this thread and realized that we're only scratching the surface on this shirt..... check out around post 365 and later. JFC guys.

@WhiskeySandwich the photos of that shirt truly prove that marbling isn't a bad thing (and in my opinion, a good thing)!
Edit: kind of makes me want to treat it like any old shirt and wash/dry the crap outta it. I might wait until I see more defined fades on the combs beforehand...
-
@Oaktavia i was thinking exactly that. The marbling looks awesome on these. That's pretty much how I was thinking - get a bit of contrast then start ramping up the washing.
-
@WhiskeySandwich & @Oaktavia Totally agree! I saved some of those pics for reference a while back when I got my 361, looks awesome.
-
@WhiskeySandwich solid plan for the both of us!
-
@WhiskeySandwich Jesus fucking christ that marbling looks incredible!!!! Maybe I'll have to start machine washing this guy. That's so nice.
-
@Oaktavia @WhiskeySandwich do you reckon this could be achieved by just machine washing a handful of times over a couple of months. Or do you think this is years in the making?
-
@WhiskeySandwich @Oaktavia here some overdue photos.
-
So hard to photograph as the camera sometimes makes the fades look too high contrast and sometimes flattens them...
-
@Oaktavia Thank you sir! I'm coming up to 4 months, haven't been counting the days, but it's been washed once and obviously soaked once to set in the creases when I first got it. It was continuously worn for 3 months, and slightly less over the holidays. So I'd say we're about 90 plus days of proper wear. Albeit my life style is nowhere near as rugged as most fellas on here, so that would look very different on someone else.
-
I think your's is looking kickass @Mr-Linz ! I think no matter what y'all do to these, they're only gonna get better. I just hit 110 wears on mine but I've been going light on it for the past few weeks. Might soak soon and throw up some pics when i do
-
@WhiskeySandwich damn 110 wears is more than I would have guessed. Your turn to post photos my dude!
-
@Oaktavia Yup, got it on 1 Sep, and have worn pretty much every day. Some of those lately I've counted but only worn it for an hour or so during the commute/walk. It's not much different from my last pic posted lol. whenever i get around to another wash, i'll def post some more.
-
@Mr-Linz HA: I knew it - for real men: washing is the new fading trend I certainly started on that train with my western version. Clear marbeling even after washing it inside out, 30C, short, no spin... including the dreaded straight long marks along the arms...

Ok yall had me going so here’s some pre-wash shots
