Definitely going to be picking another pair of these up

@jskelton they look amazing!

I am super excited to have finally picked up a pair of these! I purchased them at Rivet & Hide and am blown away not only by the jeans but also by their amazing customer service. After emailing back and forth for a week, the guys found me the perfect sizing. The craziest thing is that I needed them hemmed and I placed the order yesterday. So basically they measured, hemmed, and shipped within 2 hours and I have the pants in hand, in the US, just 21.5 HOURS after I placed my order...unbelievable!!! I will post some fit pics this weekend!!!

@SaddleSC I'm seriously considering a pair of these. I've been burnt before sizing down a little too much expecting more stretch then I actually got. Imagine I'm gonna be between at 33 or 34.
Just out of curiosity, what's your true waist?
-
@Supersonic I was also torn between tag size 33 and 34 on this pair and have always heard that 21oz stretches with time, but in my experience that has been primarily at the waist...not in the thigh or knee.
The pair I received (and asked for) was on the low end of the Size 34 measurements so this pair is basically a half step in between. The actual waist on this pair is 34.25 (as opposed to the stated 35") and the rear rise is 15.25" (as opposed to the nearly stated 16")
As I am sure you know, the key to getting the measurements dialed in with each fit is knowing where the pants sit on your body. I have a pair of 777 with 34.75 measurement that I cannot even get buttoned because they sit so low around the hip bones; however, this pair of 555 with a half inch smaller waist buttons right up.
The short answer to your question is my waist measurement is 34.5" so the pants are snug but not tight and they will break in to fit beautifully. The other reason I did not really consider the tag 33 in the 555 is that the knee measurement drops to 7.8 and I know that is just too tight for my personal comfort/taste.
The knee on these is around 8.25 and they taper to 7.75 at the hem. I had them hemmed to 31.5"
Sorry for the ramble but I hope that helps!

That's great mate, nice one. I think I'll go into R&H when the time comes. I'm fortunate enough to be pretty local to one here in the UK. Did they charge for the Hem btw?
-
@Supersonic Great idea! The hemming was included in the price with jeans purchased at R&H!

Anyone who's had this pair a while and worn them in. How much stretch if any did you get in the Thigh region?
I've been stung with 'these things stretch a ton' with RGT which I've always had to sell on eventually. Not had an IH pair next. But think I'll be getting this pair in the next month or two once I've shed some excess weight.
Would appreciate any input, I expect the usual waist stretch which can be minimised thru the use of belt (which I always use anyways).

Does anyone know if there is there much difference in breathability between these and the SBGs?
-
@goldstone0 I have both and the SBG’s definitely feel more breathable. I believe the over dyeing process tightens the weave and essentially makes the garment much less breathable, maybe one of the crew could confirm though? @Graham
-
@DeeDee85 Thanks. I knew it tightened the weave and was less breathable than indigo but wasn't sure how tight the weave of SBG was.
-
@goldstone0 no problem, to be honest I only really wear my 21oz October through to March and I’ve never really over heated in the SBG.. there’s been a couple of times with the 21od where it has felt like they were absorbing the sunlight though so def go with the SBG if you are after breathability
