IHSH-343-OD - Ultra Heavy Flannel Tartan Check Work Shirt - Green Overdyed Black
-
@prosperone At this point, it’s anyone guess. I predict that the results will be awesome and can’t wait to see what you guys can do.
-
Decisions…going by the measurements I’m a medium for shoulders but a large for just about everything else!
-
@Mizmazzle yeah I’m thinking I’ll go large and see if there’s one with a smaller shoulder available, this would be my first IH shirt so keen to get it right!
-
Public shout out to @Bailey, who responded to my message about sizing on a Sunday night at the back of 8pm, when no reply was expected until at least working hours during the week! This is why I have confidence spending more money than I ever have on a shirt!

This beauty just arrived yesterday and it is a stunner!!! The OD gives it an inky appearance but the subtle plaid of the original shirt shows through brilliantly. I am more impressed with this shirt than I expected to be but it is really no surprise...it essentially combines the two things Iron Heart does best (other than denim of course)...UHF + OD. Choosing the color on this one was a no-brainer for me because it was the only pattern where I did not already own the non-OD version...love it!!!

plus this balances things by having an equal number of westerns and work cuts
Thanks for the family photo!

@SaddleSC Now that looks super cool, bro. The OD innovation on these UHF shirts is the bomb. This one also reminds of a modern version of the classic Blackwatch tartan, one of my favs. What's your take on the OD bleed after initial washing or over time?
-
Mine just arrived too, fits like a dream!
-
@pechelman Thanks! Agreed...that was a happy accident:)
@Transporter Thanks! I wore it last night and have worn it all day today and so far I am not seeing any OD bleed on my hands or on my white undershirt. Tha amount of color transfer appears to be much less than my 293OD-CPO or my 19OD Lefty Type III. It is also much much less than any of the IH denim jeans that I own. So far so good...I will be sure to update the thread as I get some more wear time on the shirt!
-
@SaddleSC Absolutely! You convinced me to pull the trigger on this as well. Thanks for the intel.
-
@Transporter Congrats, brother! I think you will love it...I look forward to seeing some pics:)

Good stuff @SaddleSC !
Glad I picked this one out of the 8 option -
@SaddleSC Received the shirt today--my first UHF, in fact--in XXL. What a material! Warm like wool, and a flattering fit. Fit is very comfortable all around, though the sleeves are long but material rolls in a cool way. The sizing of these shirts is funky (in a good way for me at least) vs other brands, and the length on this XXL is surprisingly how I like it for my 5'9 frame. With larger sizes in other brands the arm openings are also always so big and sloppy. This one is terrific. The black overdye of the green tartan looks awesome and doesn't draw sniper fire. I dig how the moss green thread pops. Looking forward to how the material develops over time.

@Transporter Congrats! Looks great on you, brother...glad I could help:)
-
@SaddleSC Thank you for the great advice!

@Ross Check out this shirt under a UV light (blacklight). Pretty cool how the green, orange, yellows, and light blues come through.
