IHE-37 - 21oz Denim Waist Bag - Superblack Non-Fade
-
I must admit I have long held strong negative feelings to waist/bum bags for cross body carry and thought I am simply to old and uncool for this. The understated beauty of this bag had me cave in. Also: I have successfully convicted myself that there is a use case (this could be the subtitle of this forum): for whenever I need to carry what just does not fit in the clothing, but would be too little to justify a backpack, or a messenger bag.
Anyways, it awaits me fresh from delivery at home and I will work to overcome my pre-conceptions -
@Tobi dya know! I was exactly the same, so many Eastern euros and russians wearing them in the UK
And at my age i thought not cool, but soo glad ive got this on holiday, its perfect for holidays, so practical -
@Tobi also felt the same way but after a brief experiment of not carrying anything in my pants pockets it was so nice that I just stopped caring about how I previously saw them or what anyone else thought. I started with a smaller bag just to be sure before buying this one but I really do like the size of the IHE-37. Just large enough to carry a few essentials, seasonal items like gloves or a tiny umbrella, or even be used a travel bag that can fit a small camera. It's really great. At first I was bummed it lacked a releasable buckle to take on and off but have come to like the simplicity of the fixed strap. Enjoy the bag!

Still old and uncool, but totally going to do this

I’m happy to report here that this bag will snugly accommodate 76000 bs (10000 usd equiv).
No worries, nothing illegal here (not sure ANYBODY would trust a bolivian with such a statement…).
Country’s economy is on the verge of an implosion. Everybody running to “safer” currencies and using banks is a no-no. Back to a cash economy!
The 37 is a great bag on the bike.

@popvulture heres another pic to push you

Travel setup today. Note to self though: for family travel I would need an additional bag or backpack. As it is I had to distribute stuff to the wife's huge Filson backpack after a duty free stop.

Just finished two weeks in Thailand and this was soo useful, worn everyday
Getting some
Nice evo now -
In it's natural habitat...

@Luijim78 It may technically be no-fade, but I can tell you that it's surely showing some fades on the front of mine. The pocket on the front is pretty tight (a good thing in my opinion) and it will put pressure on anything you put inside of it.
I'm going to assume the rest of the bag will eventually show fades as well depending on how hard it's used.
This bag is a beast and I use it all the time. I'm tempted to get the IHE-39 red/black when it comes back in stock. It's so good and practical at the same time.
