just arrived
absolutely awesome boots , super comfortable food bed ! The leather is a little stiffer than the horween clx but I guess they’ll break in pretty fast.
Only criticism is that the are not lined with calf leather like the donkey punchers for example. Think at this price level it should be standard.
the leather looks brilliant, think it will create a stunning patina.

decided to give the steelgang a little protective car before starting to wear them outside.
tried the sapphire Nappa care at a non visible point to make sure it doesn’t darken the leather to much.
choose the Nappa care because it doesn’t make the leather shiny.before :

Quick shot of the Dukes worn first time this morning.

Worn for only a few hours and already some nice indigo stains/transfer. I’m really liking these. They look western but not too cowboy-ish. My wife thinks I secretly want to be a cowboy because of my western boots, shirts, cowboy hats, etc. It’s no secret, I WANT TO BE A COWBOY! but these boots are a nice in between. They have a western look but not full on cowboy. I wish the shaft was a little more narrow. I may take them to a cobbler and see what he can do. My first pair of Lofgrens and I think I made the right choice.

oh man! so nice! i've had a shaft narrowed down before. Sent them to a company in texas (don't think it exists anymore) and they essentially cut a pointed down triangle into it and added a engineer boot like buckle at the top.
