Where does everyone live?

@Walery-Smirnoff ahaha yes you are right, Palmiro Togliatti was the head of the Italian communist party immediately after the Second World War and I believe that your city was given this name by Stalin or Khrushchev. I didn't think it still retained it, after the fall of the USSR many cities resumed the name they had before 1917.
-
The city continues to bear the Italian name. And that's great! I love Italy. Traveled her up and down. The name of the city warms me.

Hi, I'm from Sydney Australia, new to the IH world, recently bought a pair of 888S in 21oz denim to wear when riding my motorcycle. I'm amazed at how comfortable they are on the first few wears.

@Xmotorlib welcome here from downunder and welcome to the addiction that’s called iron heart

@Xmotorlib welcome among us

@rodenstock Greetings from Gießen

@Xmotorlib I randomly thinking yesterday I've never encountered an Aussie on this forum.
I spent a year on the West Coast in 2017/18 and loved my time there, driving from town to town doing odd job in outback roadhouses... Great memories!
-
Greetings from Buffalo, New York. Been a huge fan of IH since I bought some 25oz 777s in 2020, so I'm way overdue in joining the forum.

Howdy folks, frequent reader so decided to get an account created!
From Greater Manchester in the UK originally, now living in West Yorkshire.
Couple of years in to my IH journey, proud owner of a few pieces! My gateway was Lee 101 & LVC.

Welcome @thewizarrd !
-
@thewizarrd welcome to the forum, what was your first IH piece? Always interested to know what originally sent people down the rabbit hole... for me it was the 18oz CPO and Hickory Western shirts!
-
@T4920 a pair of the 14oz 888s in double indigo was my first item.
The 1955 cut is probably my favourite though; was lucky enough to snag a pair when they restocked a couple of weeks ago.
In that time I’ve picked up a few shirts and overshirts.
-
@thewizarrd very nice!
I love my double indigo 12oz western. Such a deep blue, but very stubborn when it comes to fading...
I don't wear it often in fairness, but it's a great middle layer when i'm feeling a triple denim kinda day :the_horns:
-
@thewizarrd awesome username, welcome.
-
@thewizarrd Greetings Also Manchester UK here. Sure there are others too. Had chance to get to Rivet and Hide or not spending much time in MCR these days? Nice one with the 1955s!

@long_john86
I head in a couple of times every week as I still work there, however Leeds is probably that bit closer to me now. I’m pretty much in between the two, my family and mates are all still over the Manchester side.I ended up in Yorkshire having got in to cycling in a big way around lock down and I lived in Saddleworth at the time. I’ve lived in Bolton, Didsbury, Chorlton, Uppermill over the last 15 years.. then bought a house in Yorkshire! Money seems to go a lot further this side of the Pennines for houses, and more cow sh-t, less people.

I read posts from guys from Britain and there are obvious associations with films about Sherlock Holmes! Any name of a village or city is a reference to the legendary detective!)
