Momotaro

@JerkStore They were $2000 14 years ago (see
here). Wonder if they're charging more for online made to measure. Even though they're not for me, I really appreciate that they're doing craft, artisanal stuff like this. It reminds me of Samurai's denim made with cotton that they grew themselves. It's stuff that doesn't add value to the product in the traditional sense, but its heckin cool. -
and here are my momotaros

@Walery-Smirnoff do you have a Youtube channel? I often stumble across videos of a Russian man showing off his denim collection. I don't understand a word, but I enjoy watching.
-
Yes, you are right. There are several channels for jeans fans on Russian YouTube. I watch them all the time too. There is a guy's channel in the west. Channel name Fjorde. His name is Sergei. I suspect he is also Russian. His accent gives him away. I watch everything related to Japanese denim.
-
@Walery-Smirnoff I knew fjorde yeah, but I had I no idea he was Russian! Very cool guy, enjoy the videos
-
@Luijim78 I believe he's Russian by birth, and now resides on the east coast of Canada.

Guys, I love the textured slabby denim from Momotaro! Short staple cotton from Texas. Comfortable cut 0605. After washing they became like pajamas. And by the way, I once wrote to him in Russian in one of Sergei’s videos. But he remained silent. I really like his channel. I like his style and taste.

I picked this up recently,my first momotaro. -
@gazza61 Cool
What does that silk blend denim feel like? Very smooth? More drape than typical denim?
-
@JunkPants it still has the denim feel but with a smoother feel as well ,and it is very good for the summer months to dispel moisture and heat.
-
@gazza61 Nice, thanks for the feedback. Makes sense that they would be great for summer. Came across these a little while ago and thought they were interesting.
-
@JunkPants yes im pleased with them ,they are a little more dressier when I go out.
-
15-17 oz are the most versatile. You feel naked in thin jeans. Wearing jeans that weigh more than 18 oz is extreme.

Momotaro are amazing with their stripes.
