@jmceachern which engineers did you order? Overall the 888 hemm in 34 gives you plenty of space for a engineerboot.. i have Lofgrens and has Wesco Mr Lou which fitted very good under the hemm of my 888. Hope that helps
-
@Heavy_blue Moto from Japan. I feel like 8inch should work.
-
My XHSib is 19,5cm and my Lofgren fits great! Sho i think you’ll be fine
-
@Heavy_blue ok thanks. The jeans I have could work as well maybe.
-
@jmceachern just try all the things in live go with trial and error! Let us know how they’ll fit
-
@Heavy_blue Thanks!

These might be the comfortable pants of any kind that I’ve worn. Only maybe 15 wears, but they are already showing some subtle honeycombs and creases. So good. They drape and mold to the body really well, almost at the 21oz indigo level. I live in a warm climate, so these, the 14 SBR and the 14 BB will be my summer work attire. All are equally comfortable.
I’m done dabbling with any of the other JPN denim brands.

I know that some denim heads wrinkle their noses and curl their lips towards IH14oz denim, but I want to note that from the moment I first put on these jeans I continue to be in love with them
-
Any chance of a restock for this summer @Ross and team?
Need a 36, but that is not available sadly. -
@Alex Thanks for the update, will be on a look out for this one.

It’s a mystery to me why the 888 cut is considered by many the most suitable for people with hypertrophied thighs, powerlifters, etc. As you can see from these pictures, I clearly do not fall into this category of people, and yet I do not have any free air in my hips and thighs, and both of these pairs in my tag size fit me, imho (without false modesty) quite normally. What do you think about it?
-
@Yoprst they look good man. I agree, I'm not a thick boi but my 888s fit pretty dang slim. I think a lot of it has to do with the waist. If thinner guys fit a smaller waist, the leg is much more trim. I've also seen bigger dudes rocking 555's, which I can't fit, because if the fit in the waist, the thigh is far too narrow. Just proportions i guess.
BTW, regarding your post further up, I recently got a pair of these for the hot season and have been holding off on wearing them until about May so that I can get as much wear on my 21oz as possible until then. I gotta say I love the way they fit, and the 14oz is amazing. I already think they're every bit as good as my heavyweights.

142s in 888 is fantastic. Looks smart and is really comfortable. The SBR and BB are equally as great.
I’m small and lean, with decent sized thighs from biking, but still not big. 888 is the only cut that I will wear, from the front rise to the ample thigh, to the gentle taper.

Loving these. Very comfortable without any sagginess.
These and the 14oz SBR/BB are going to get a workout as my workwear this Summer…
Crazy how light these feel when alternating with the 21oz and especially the 25. The UHR in particular feels like I’m wearing heavy window drapes which happen to have buttons on them haha. Nothing but IH going forward. 18oz vintage on the way and then I’m done. I think.

What do you think the shrinkage will be like on this denim? Has anyone soaked theirs yet?
-
Not sure if it helps, but barely any shrinkage after a cold wash and hang dry. I didn’t soak these.
And they go back to what the initial measurements were, if not slightly bigger in the waist, after 6-7 wears.
-
@drewfonse ok thanks for your reply.
-
Some 14oz love. Showing off some fuzz here

Why not
