IH-888S-SBG - 21oz Selvedge Denim Medium/High Rise SBG
-
@Alex Well, I wouldn't say stainless steel rivets look ugly may be even on the contrary considering monochrome of SBG they are a better match, however old school dinosaurs like me prefer what they are used to through their life i.e. to the copper ones
-
Update at 81 wear days. I love how they are starting to show their grey core.
-
@weftyarn they look great! I’ve just gone by day 40 in my 555 sbg, this pic will spur me on knowing what is to come
-
@weftyarn those are looking great homie!!!

@DeeDee85 @WhiskeySandwich
Thanks guys! So glad I pulled the trigger on these. Is your patch showing the same „cracking“ on the stamped areas after a soak?
I know my 21Oz had this happening too. My UHRs don’t. Seems like the stamping process is slightly different? -
@weftyarn I dig that but no cracks yet, I haven’t soaked or washed em yet. It does seem like these were branded and some of the other patches were stamped?
-
@weftyarn I’m still yet to get mine wet either, they are starting to get a little shiny so think I’ll either soak or gentle cold wash at 50 wears and report back
-
I'm on my 634 SBG and I guess I'm roughly about at 70ish wears and did not notice anything like that on the patch. I'm yet to soak or wash them.
-
I always oil the patch before soaking or washing. The patch stays intact and doesn’t show any cracks. But i also reach the stadium where i’m thinking about to stop babying them..
-
@Heavy_blue What kind of oil do you use? Can you briefly describe the process? Is there a chance the oil transfers on denim while soaking/washing?
-
@Yoprst i use red wing boot oil. Just rub a bit on the patch and let it dry a bit before soaking/washing them. It keeps the patch conditioned. When you just use a little bit snd let it dry there will be no oil on the denim but the oil makes the patch a little water resistant
-
@Heavy_blue Thanx for the tip. Appreciate
-
@Jcaz6996 Thanx a lot for the tip

This light making the fades look extra extra
-
I swear iPhone regular mode goes too hard, I need to tone these down after snapping em…
-
@WhiskeySandwich I’ve also had some difficulty with the iPhone taking accurate pictures of SBG. Especially in bright light, it tends to present as lighter/more faded than it does to the eye.
-
The jeans are looking great though!
-
@WhiskeySandwich exact my thoughts lately.. iPhone software is pretty lightfull lately. But you csn modify the scene you wanna use. Standard, warm etc. sometimes it helps for me. But black fades keeps hard to capture
