IHSH-381-OLV - 9oz Military Serge CPO Shirt - Olive
-
Alright, I gotta stop with shirts for a while.
This one surprised me with its lightness. Love my 13oz serge fabric and this is just way lighter and less rigid, gonna be super easy wearing. My 13oz serge seems to get more fuzzy with age, unlike denim, which seems to lose its fuzziness as it wears. Maybe just me? The color just looks super vintage military on this. I like the red accents and W, a good look. I gave it a hot soak and put it on for a minute to lose the creases. This is still wet, couldn’t wait to take pics. The texture is fantastic and I’m sure it’ll only get better.

Got mine today too. Will have to send back for a large though as the XL swamps me. Agreed, it is such a nice light fabric and pockets are killer for me. I’m also with you on the thats enough on shirts
-
Really digging this cpo. Good weight, super sturdy and should be hard wearing too. Gonna be a nice summer riding overshirt, but layers great with a hoodie on these cooler days. The fabric is amazeballs
-
@WhiskeySandwich looks amazing man. What a great combo
-
@doubletee thanks bro. It’s a bit loose but I’m cool with that when it’s hot or needs a layer underneath.
-
@WhiskeySandwich great combo, this fabric is amazing
-
Got my L yesterday after the XL swamped me. What a fit, thanks again team IH for putting up with me
-
Fantastic! Champ fit
-
@doubletee Indeed a great fit; would you mind sharing what size you normally wear in other shirts like Western UHF's, if possible? Waffling on this one, and really torn on trying it because I am so smack dab in the middle between Large and XL vis-a-vis the state measurements.

Arrived.. and pleased with the copper snaps (was worried the fabric would be too thin for the upgrade). Will be my summer travel shirt (since I don't get along with short sleeved shirts).
-
Love that shirt serge
-
@WhiskeySandwich wow man this looks incredible. Would you say its true to size. Seems like a middle of the road cut in between work and western with some length. Oh the pain of rollin the dice on a 350$ shirt. Any input appreciated

@caseyjonez All my shirts and CPOs are XL, and they vary a little but are generally pretty close. I'd say this one feels a bit on the larger side. Partly because it's lightweight I think it feels looser. If you want it slim, you could probably size down in this one, but if there's a particular measurement that is important to you, make sure you put a note in your order. They'll email you about measurements anyway, before they ship anything.

@WhiskeySandwich ahhh this is good info im a solid large usually but lean xl on slimmer cuts or when im a tad heavier than normal. So a larger large seems perfect. Thanks for response. Usually iron heart stuff is bang on with cuts and accurate measurements. But im working through some fresh PTSD of the whipcord type 3 indigo that apparently you need order 3 sizes up which was a curveball lol. But this shirt is fire im going to grab a large. Thank you 🫡
-
@caseyjonez Not quite understanding the whipcord type 3 comment. Did you buy your tag size or go off of the measurements?
Every purchase I make is based off of the measurements that IHUK provides which saves them and me time, effort, and money. The tag size is helpful, but the measurements are the key.
-
@goosehd a little of both. Checked out reviews and measurements on a few sources. This particular item was rarely reviewed. Maybe an oddball. Did my homework and the cut was just considerably slim compared to most purchases, And was even slimmer than measurements stated. No slander just seemed like a fluke cut. I have dozens of IH pieces and love the accuracy typically but this was the only one ever to seem so off brand. No biggie just teying harder to do my due diligence going forward

Got this in April... occasionally worn over the summer.. 3 washes... travelling shirt for this summers US trip. Washed out unexpectedly and has a pleasant well worn look now
