IHSH-33-IND - 12oz Selvedge Denim Western Shirt - Indigo
-
@drewfonse sure do mate best 12oz western there is
-
I just can’t decide on a small or medium. I’m better at measuring jeans than I am at shirts
-
@drewfonse focus on the measurements that mean the most to you. For me, it’s the shoulders and chest…
-
I’ve run into the same thing as before, with Self Edge posting different measurements than here. I know they measure their jeans and shirts differently, but the measurements are pretty different.
I’ll remeasure. I’m leaning small . I know body types are different, but I’m a fairly narrow but athletic 5’7 145 lbs.
-
@drewfonse Watch the measuring video from IH. Measure your shirt the same way as shown in the video. Compare your measurements to the ones posted in IH.
Works for me every time.
Caveat: As @Alex mentioned the other day, it works when comparing current run/release to the current posted measurements as there may be some variation between runs.
-
…and to add: when/if in doubt email the IHUK crew: shop@ironheart.co.uk
Those guys are great at what they do!
-
@drewfonse I have no idea why, but SE's measurements are often significantly off. I just stick with the IH chart.
-
They really are. I’ll remeasure.
-
After measuring a shirt around 400 rimes, I just bought one of these. Fingers crossed.
-
@drewfonse you did good! Now let’s see some pics when it dropped and show that measuring around 400 times dis the trick
-
@Heavy_blue
Will do!
-
@drewfonse nice one! This is my favourite IH shirt, just seems to fit and "drape" the best of all of 'em. Not to mention, classic indigo western shirt, can't beat it
-
Can’t wait!
I debated between this and the CPO, but I live in a warm/hot climate, so the ability for the 12oz to be a three season shirt won out.
-
Hi,
I know this is a personal preference question, I'm just hoping for some opinions.
Looking to buy a western denim shirt but only really want one.
Is the 33 IND the goat or is there another version that may be better if I only have one denim shirt in my collection?
I really like to look of the OD and the tonal stitch version as well. -
Hard to say because there are so many fabrics, weights and colourways but when you are looking for something indigo / od that's not a heavy monster I would say yes it's the best you can buy @bb
-
My fave is the indigo version, because I think it starts out cool and just looks better and better the more it ages. I feel like the tonal looks cool, but I personally don’t like the way it looks faded as much. OD’d of course awesome too but the fading will be more muted — just a different feel.
-
@bb it all depends at what you’re after and like you said personal preference. The fades on a indigo version will be different on a OD version so that’s something to keep in mind but there are a lot of examples out here on the forum to check and see what you like the most. Furthermore IH is the best and most overengineerd western shirt a man can ever own so if you’re looking for one shirt for a lifetime then IH is the way to go.
-
Thanks for the input. Think I'll go with the 33 IND. The fade photos are amazing.
Like the OD too, but based on my experience with the 22oz OD type 3 the fades are not as nice. -
Man, yeah, predictably awesome shirt. I debated small/medium, really glad I went small. Perfect. And heavier than I expected. Perfect for my climate. Love it!
-
I love my 33 indigo shirt. Had major problem with arms sleeve being to long. I did hot soak and wash had no luck.
Chop it to a summer shirt.
In action.
Was in Rivet and Hide in Manchester.
Brought another one
Went brought lots of starch spray.
To crease the arms.Crease are set after spray up
Must have in your wardrobe
