Woah super cool @Oaktavia - the deep purple/indigo to light blue gradient wings is beautiful
That will look awesome. The species is so cool
@jerkules I agree, it truly represents nature's beauty like Holy shit.
I mean it kind of reminds me of electric blues peeking out of fading denim. Cool idea
@SKT me too!
@SKT @jerkules for sure!
@Oaktavia been reading a bit about them, pretty fascinating stuff, esp about the cuckoo varieties.
@twin thank you kindly
@Anesthetist of the bees or butterflies?
Wow that’s a cool color.
Yeah man! Sparkle sparkle, totally caught my eye
I think this little guy is a stink bug nymph.
Randos from my camera roll. The praying mantis was actually praying at a Buddhist Temple
Cool beetle and his spider friend
@SKT I think those are called June Beetles or a Cockchafer (yep) which are types of scarab beetles. As for the spider maybe a crab spider?
Thought this was a cool shot…blue dasher on the tip of my truck antenna
@SKT awesome shot and such an incredible creature
I'm sure these are quite common, but I've never noticed a 'reverse ladybird' like this before.
Made me smile.
@T4920 I have not seen one before- thanks for posting it.
@Oaktavia it's called a Harlequin ladybird. Apparently they're invasive to the UK, and more toxic than the typical variety.
