BIRKENSTOCK-Last for decades, hidden… but shown here on IH.

@Mizmazzle hah whoops! Not sure why I mistook that. I love the Bostons but wanted a new open toed pair. Diggin' it and dig that you dig yours.
-
My two cents.
-
@pechelman ah I would say yeah most of the time I wear socks with them. I actually sized up to compensate for thick socks. Didn't need to do that though. But yeah

The blu ones are my fav
-
@Denimhead-0 oh wow those are all awesome choices in your collection. I like the blue the best too.

Anybody have experience getting their Birks rebuilt? The cork sole on my pair is really starting to come apart now after 5 or so summers.
I’ll try and add some pics after work
-
@Danimal506 depending on whether you just need the cork footbed or a resole as well it's typically in the $60-100 range in my experience .
I've done it a couple times on my one non-suede pair of bostons I've had for years, even though it's not that much more just to replace them, because the leather is so soft and beat up that I want to keep them alive forever

I have worn the classic B inside and outside no matter the season… but forgot to pack them for Japan… borrowed these.

Finally got around to snapping a couple pics of my Bostons and my Arizonas. The Arizonas definitely need to be repaired before next summer.
I love my Birks! I got my first pair in 2019 for summers when I lived in Chicago. I grew up in San Diego wearing Rainbow sandals. I wanted something more comfortable for walking in the city. These have five hard summers of wear on them. The Bostons I got for the winter when it’s cooler out. I got the air soles in the Bostons and really like them. I wish my Arizona’s had the air soles too. None the less, they’re so damn comfy!! I really want some Zerrows some day.
-
@jerkules Bostons and denim are such a good combo!
-
@Danimal506 what are air soles? Don’t think I’ve ever noticed those before.
Edit: just looked em up. Interesting.

@Mizmazzle Initially I was worried about them being a bit of a gimmick. But they’ve held up great and are still comfy after a couple years of general, not too heavy, wear.
