Less than a week to the start of the 2024 NFL Season, and that means that once again,if you guys are interested, we can have the IH Forum Survivors Football Pool. For those of you that might be new around these parts, it’s quite simple. Just pick one team to win every week. No point spreads to hurt you or help you. Your team wins and your on to the next week, loose and your on the sidelines until we get down to one person and then we reset and everyone can get back in the pool, even if you weren’t playing at the beginning. In a lot of these pools you can’t use the same team twice, but we don’t have that stipulation. A couple of guys did that last season to challenge themselves. There’s no fees,no prizes, just bragging rights. Helps to keep this thread interesting during the season. Also, for me at least,it makes it a little bit more fun,as I’m seeing scores come in,if I know someone needs a certain team to win. One stipulation…You absolutely have to make a pic every week before the game starts. I do keep track, and I will send out reminders, but if you don’t make a pick you’re out. There you have it. Any interest?

We really had a lot of fun with this last season,so much so that I feel the need to give out some awards. First off,the one award that you absolutely don’t want to get is The Worst Beat of The Season, and that happened last season on the very first Monday Night game. @steelworker had picked Buffalo to beat the NY Jets, with there new MVP QB Aaron Rodgers. Four plays into the game Rodgers tears his Achilles tendon, and @steelworker is thinking this is money in the bank, like taking candy from the proverbial baby.Somehow The Jets hang around, the game goes into overtime, and the Jets win it on a miracle punt return that goes for a touchdown. There were a lot of tough losses last season but nothing came close to that. Rookie of the Year has to go to @Mizmazzle who came in with his magic lucky socks and went on a 4-5 game winning streak. And the unanimous choice for MVP had to be @scooter who definitely got more wins consecutively and totally than anyone else. I don’t think he ever spent any time on the sidelines. There you have it.

@Jett129 Great recap!! Picking up right where you left off!! So stoked to get this season started!! Broncos have yet another new QB!! Should make for great fun to watch! Plus I have my new IHSH-37 to wear every Sunday now in place of my crusty ol' socks!!
I'll go Eagles over the Packers for the first game of the season! Both of those teams I feel are pretty evenly matched so why not start things off with a challenge!!

@Mizmazzle Just making sure, you know that game’s in Brazil, and the only way you can see it is on P.Cock.

@Jett129 I’m in and thanks for getting this going again. I’ll take San Francisco to beat the Jets.
-
@Twistlock Nice to have you back. That’s the game I’ve kind of zeroed in on,figuring if the can’t beat the Pats at home, they’re going to have a much tougher time with the Chiefs the following week at Arrowhead.

I’m guessing you’re thinking maybe Rodgers lasts 5 maybe 6 plays this season.

@Jett129 joking aside, I’m hoping he stays fit this season as it will be interesting to see how he gets on at New York.
