@motojobobo Looking forward to seeing your updates man.

Made some progress over the last few days.
Day one: home to Sucre:
Road blocked for half an hour as a car race crossed the road.
This bike is turning out out to be a fine traveler!
Houses used to be built of sun-dried mud blocks around here. -
Homes for livestock deserved to be built with longer lasting material
-
Day two: Sucre to Villazon
The slit between the two ridges has a mid-size river flowing across.
This is the other, shaded side. The tunnel is less than 200 mts long. Place is called El Angosto, unsurprisingly…about 20 km km from Tupiza. -
Day three: Villazon - Bolivia to Cafayate - Argentina
Sits at 2800 mts and mornings are chilly around here.
Loved the backlit effect on these woolly alpacas; probably my favorite pic so far.
At 3800 mts, 9 am is still quite cold when moving at 100 km/hr. sitting still in the sun warmed me up in about 10 minutes.
A cloud forest between Jujuy and Salta. Now I’m back down to 700 mts. A super dry year is making this usually lush vegetation look quite beaten down.
Liked the monotone clay-colored backdrop with a bit of sky. Nearing wine country! Cafayate. -
@motojobobo looks like an amazing trip. Keep em coming

Beatiful pictures @motojobobo
Enjoy the Valles Calchaquíes. Keep us updated. -
More trail rides this past weekend, was a great day!

Got out of Sydney for a couple of days. Bike was, as always, a joy.

I’m well aware of how the majority of motorcycle enthusiasts and riders feel about this so while you’re certainly free to share your opinion here, I won’t be swayed. After all, much like our friend Mo, me do finks me own way…
I’ve got KT on board so now we just need to settle our moving and party debt. This will be perfect for city riding and parking/charging in my back yard…

Get a monkey!!

@Matt pretty cool bike! I think smaller and lighter bikes are great to explore urban places and the city. You mostly don't need more.
-
Hey @Aetas ! Thoroughly enjoying these valles! When were you here?
Curvy mountain roads…perfect motorcycle enviro.
Exclusively 1st and 2nd gear ONLY on this 140 km super curvy gravel road through Aconquija national park.
Amazes me how this bromeliad manages to look so healthy and beautiful in such a dry, dusty, windy unforgiving environment.
A tasty and hearty ‘locro argentino’ stew at day’s end erases and compensates for any inconveniences endured at altitude. I guess the wine also helps.
Hot springs anybody??
Never before saw cactus growing as an epiphyte on a tree…. Had to take a pic.
I can’t avoid using these rocky monochrome backgrounds for my bike.
Beautiful late afternoon warm light in a typical Andean setting.
Turquoise colored lake with a bit of snow still around it in early spring. 4600 meters, 6 deg C, very windy. Tough ride there and back…Pissis lake.
One buddy destroyed his front tire that day…was quite a nightmare but eventually we managed to get him back safely. -
@Matt nice one. In 15 years we'll all be on electric (if the planet hasn't fallen into some dystopian horror show).
-
@motojobobo excellent pics man. Looks like an amazing ride.
