IHSH-397-IND - 21oz Sashiko Work Shirt - Indigo
-
I tried it on today, ended up having a wabash day so I didn’t pick one up (yet)
Definitely agree with what Tom said, it’s definitely a warm shirt but it doesn’t feel super heavy when it’s on. -
Great shirt, incredible fabric.

@Mizmazzle very, very warm.
Interesting. Would you compare it to a UHF in terms of warmth?

Tried one on at self edge today. It’s really amazing, and not as heavy as imagined. I practiced great restraint and decided to hold off, or atleast for a bit lol. -
Will they be releasing a western version or CPO possibly? I tend to size up and have more control of the shrinkage if necessary. These day I find myself liking a slightly looser fit. This shirt really nails it with the details and red stitching. Looking forward to see everyone's fades. My sashiko is definitely starting to change, but it had a richer indigo from the start.

@meatmarketdenim1 looks great! Did you hear anything about self edge stocking this? Nothing on their website yet. I’m in Austin where they’ve had a store for a few months now.
-
@denimdad This was at the SF location they said jus got them in yesterday. I think self edge may hold off a few before the release certain items online. Imagine if called or stopped by the Austin location tomororw of this week , they’ll be in stock.
-
@RubyRae They're really intent on not running the same fabric in western and work. As.for CPO I'm not sure. I bet the fabric really lends itself to a makeup like that.
-
@meatmarketdenim1 Thanks man! And now I see earlier in the thread of course they list the stockists.
How warm was it? Would you compare to a UHF?
-
@denimdad
I don’t own a UHF yet, but have tried them on in store, so unfortunately cant give solid/well informed answer. Imagine a UHF will be on my Xmas list this year, have to see what Santa brings lol. Have stacks of vintage Pendletons to layer rn. I only had the 397 on for few mins, but it was really comfortable, solid and could tell would be super warm. An XL jus happened to be on the rack and fit me perfectly, for reference im 6”2 160lbs. It’s kinda been living in my head since I tried it on, so I may have to see if any still available after next payday. I would have to go back in and make sure fit under my 526-142. Lmk if you pick one up? -
For those that have had the opportunity to try it on… true to your IH shirt size? Or go one down? Thank you!

Im a small XXL or big XL usually and went for XXL here. I don’t remember anyone I spoke to sizing down. TTS or size up, always go by the measurement tables

Cozy but not comparable with UHF I would say. Has less of that sweater-like feel of a UHF on the inside. More stiff, somehow like a hybrid between duck canvas and a slubby jeans fabric if that makes sense Will break in beautifully and become soft I think. Breathes quite good for me as well.
Really enjoying it already!
