Hard Drinkers, Lets Drink Hard (Spirits, Liquors and Cocktails)

Anyone?

These days I’m strictly a Jamesons and Buffalo Trace kinda guy. Expensive spirits get real expensive real fast.
-
@Megatron1505 if @Nocturama is donating that bottle on Saturday I won't say no
-
Me too, always happy to try new drinks that someone else has paid for

Just got our kiddo to bed. Time to relax. Nothing fancy, but boy does this stuff go down smooth! Especially with some Texas sweet tea

@goosehd How are you finding that bottle of Lismore single malt?
It got my interest as I had never heard of it before. There is a story behind it.......
The current Lismore bottlings are produced by J and G Grant (The family owners of Glenfarclas - classic Speyside malt). They acquired the Lismore brand name which was an old Glasgow based blender now defunct.
The whisky is coming from an undisclosed Speyside distillery that either J and G Grant have a relationship with or own?
The Lismore name is completely unrelated and is one of the inner Hebridean Islands. The name was picked by the Lundie family who originally owned and ran the Glasgow based blenders business.
I really like Glenfarclas and they offer very good value for money so am interested to hear what this side project tastes like.

@ddtrash As it is now gone…very good and at the time a great buy. Bought it about 3 years ago and would have a dram or two occasionally over the last few years. Being 21 years old, it was very smooth with some great flavours. Especially liked that it was aged in Sherry casks…
Would I buy it again? Yes, if I can find it (might have found one and just double checking on current stock).
I typically drink my scotch neat and after dinner. It was a great scotch for those occasions and one I would recommend.

@goosehd Thanks for the feedback, I will keep an eye out for it. Always good to learn about new things, especially whisky.
My whisky of choice at the moment is Springbank 15. Hard to find but I have a couple of bottles in reserve. It gets released periodically through the year. Most stockists don't put it on the shelves to help deter the speculators who buy to sell.

the mezcal rabbit hole is deep too if you like to nerd out. look up a spirit called “sotol,” it’s made similar to a mezcal but not with cactus in the part of mexico my family is from. sipped neat it is glorious.
-
@Tago-Mago I bet that was really good.

@indigo_nico love sotol
