All the picks for Week 6 are in and here we go. @goosehd will be going for an unprecedented Pick-6 as he uses Da Bears for the 6th week in a row. He and @IrishHeart hope that they can prove victorious over The Jaguars in the UK,where in recent years, they have done quite well. @Matt and @Twistlock are looking for The Texans to BBQ The Patriots rookie quarterback. @Oaktavia is another who is looking for his team to be victorious over a rookie quarterback as his Ravens take on The Commanders. Super happy that this game will be shown in my area. Really looking forward to it. Another game that I’m really looking forward to and that also will be shown in my area is the Detroit/Dallas game, and coincidentally enough @steelworker and myself will both be rooting for the Lions, only difference is he needs them to win to stay in The Pool. Bad news for @Nocturama is that I think The Eagles should have no problem with The Browns. Obviously the Kiss of Death. And last but certainly not least, last years Rookie of the Year @Mizmazzle is lending his socks to The Steelers so that they can beat The Raiders this week. As always good luck to everyone. And I’ll see you next week with the wrap up.

Throw me in with @Mizmazzle. Steelers all day

I know it’s Sunday Night, but all the relevant results are in. For the first time in the IH Survivor Pool history everybody won. Some of the best picking I’ve seen since I saw Billy Strings on YouTube. Biggest news first @goosehd hits a pick 6,that’s right folks, six consecutive winners and every single one had Da Bears even going to the UK couldn’t stop them. @IrishHeart also on Da Bears bandwagon. And like @Sir_Cuffs-a-Lot had noted when has anyone ever won anything by picking Da Bears. Next week Da Bears have Da bye. What will @goosehd do. I was terrified that I might have jinxed @Nocturama by saying that I liked his pick but even I couldn’t stop The Eagles from beating The Browns. The Lions were 3 point favorites going into Dallas and they won by 38 and @steelworker was last seen on NFL.com buying an assortment of Lions gear as they get him the unbelievably dominant win. @Twistlock is doing The Twist as The Texans give him the win. @Matt knew he needed a change of scenery, and the move back East seems to have worked out just fine as he gets his second in a row, also with The Texans. The Battle of The Beltway and one of the most exciting games I’ve seen all year. The Commanders seem like they might be for real, but it was an awfully big ask,for a rookie, going up against Lamar Jackson and The Ravens. They played them tough, but in the end The Ravens were just a better team and @Oaktavia gets the win. @Mizmazzle traded in his socks for a Terrible Towel this week and propelled The Steelers to a win over hated division rivals The Raiders, although his Broncos were not as fortunate. Great job everyone, keep it going. Football Thursday,Sunday and 2 games Monday.

@Oaktavia Nice win for your Ravens yesterday. I was surprised Washington did as well as they did. Their defence is just so so bad. Hard to watch sometimes. I’m glad they could at least make it exciting.
-
@deanclean Washington did well partly because of their QB. Dude was threading the needle on a lot of those passes. Did well in 3rd and 4th down conversions. First Washington game I watched this season, now I will be viewing more.
-
I’ll go with the Commanders to bounce back against the Panthers this week. Was going to go with the Bills, but then they might still be reeling after a heavy loss tonight…🫣
-
@Oaktavia After watching that game yesterday I definitely think that the Commanders can make some noise, and for the first time in a long time achieve some level of respectability. Their main running back was also out yesterday, but I don't think anyone was beating that Ravens team yesterday. My wife and I both agreed the The Chiefs were very lucky not to have played the week 5 Ravens.
-
@Jett129 great write up as usual.
This week I’ll pick Buffalo to beat the Titans -
I’m saying bengals over browns this week. I hate em both but the browns just can’t seem to get it together
-
Jets up the ante big time
-
Aaron and Davante were plotting that
-
@Choko said in American Football (NFL):
Aaron and Davante were plotting that
I’m pretty sure they admitted that Rodgers was basically recruiting him since last year.
-
I have second guessed myself numerous times since picking the Vikings for a win. Looking at the stats, injury reports, history, and just about everything else tells me this is going to be one of those games where I may just lose based upon chance. Both of the teams seem fairly well matched and should be one hell of a game to watch.
Think it’s really going to be who can gain the momentum the quickest and avoid making costly penalties.
-
@goosehd I think divisional games are the toughest to navigate,as the teams see each other twice a year, definitely don't like each other more so than other teams. I tend to avoid them and you can see how well I've done. The Jets had quite a few opportunities to win on Monday, but 3 penalties on that final drive is unacceptable, and no matter who your quarterback is you will lose games. It took The Chiefs, who were the most penalized team last year, until the playoffs to fix that. The Lions lost their best defensive player last week, which should make Sam Darnold's life a bit easier. Hope that I get to see that game.
