IHM-35-BLK - Whipcord N1 Deck Jacket - Black
-
@evel That's a great look! It's exactly the fit I'm aiming for. I don't own the N1 yet, but I fully intend to. Could I ask for your size and measurements?

@EastClintwood
Thanks
I'm about 90kg and 178 tall.I went for the XXL, I was advised to go XL but this is what I'm after.

Hi All
I managed to grab the all black IH N1 deck from Rivet & Hide on release. As suspected all sold out now in most popular sizes in the UK.
I managed to grab a size large after trying on the medium and feeling like my movement was quite limited, couldn't get my arms over my head comfortably and when I put my hands in the pockets my elbows stuck out like I was impersonating a duck. I did manage to try it on with a tshirt and jumper and it did look very snug but I certainly could get it zipped up, although it did make my movement even more restricted. I’m 5’10 /177 cm and weigh 78kg / 172 lbs. I have quite broad shoulders and thick arms and chest (40”-41”) for my height.
However, now I’m wondering should I have got the medium as I am under the impression these should fit quite snug. But, how snug is too snug, are we talking to the point of not having full range of movement? Should I have just got the medium and hope that it loosens up a little after some wear. The only issue is probably just the length and being a little long on the arms. Any advice as I may have option to get the medium still.

why not ask this in the linked thread? got any fit pics so that we can better help you?
…anyway, based on your description alone: no. you should stick with the Large you got. dont think there is much hope of these loosening up after some wear, given that they are lined (x2) and face is made of whipcord.

@Boit
Thank you.I’ll delete it and ask in the correct post.

If I'm looking to layer underneath this, would you all recommend my standard UHF size? I'm a large in the UHF workshirts and Westerns. Thanks
-
@samo I typically take large in westerns, 22" P2P and 18" shoulder measurements are about perfect for me and the large of this fits nicely over the top. As always though you are best off measuring a similar jacket you already own and comparing to the sizing chart. Hope that helps

@hjl360 much appreciated. Thank you.

@samo
I’m quite happy with the large now. It’s easy to layer under and still looks ok with on a t shirt.
After trying the medium on with a t shirt and jumper I found that I felt very restricted. -
@Shaf what size UHF would you typically wear?
-
@samo
I would normally go with a large but however I am a little broader across the chest and shoulders so could also pull off an XL. -
I am a large in western shirts and went with the large in this jacket. Had to buy mine from Division Road as IHUK was out. If you call Division Road they are very helpful and offer the option for you to order both sizes, and they will include a prepaid UPS return label for you to return the one.

I purchased the medium based on measurements of other medium jackets I own and from reviews and all the sizing info on Ironhear etc. I'm a 38-inch chest size, 72kg, 5'10'' tall and 18.5-inch shoulders and the jacket almost fits me perfectly except the shoulders. The shoulders on the N1 jacket are at least 1 to 2 inches narrower than every other jacket I own in a medium. The arm length, the chest size and the opening are all perfect but if a layer, it is quite tight in the shoulder and under the arm. I maybe should've gone for a large, but from what I've read in reviews, the chest might be a bit baggy in the large and the arms too long. I guess the N1 is going for a trim silhouette, but I wish they had gone a bit wider in the shoulders. Anybody else had an issue with this?
