IH-888S-18 - 18oz Vintage Selvedge Denim Medium/High Rise Tapered Cut Jeans
-
As a 6' 5" dude with a 33" waist, I wish Iron Heart would increase the inseam length of its 888 jeans to 36" washed at minimum. I was looking forward to these, but a 35" inseam is too short for me. I understand most IH customers don't have this issue. I'm just throwin' my .02 cents out there.

If I'm looking for a post-wash and stretch waist of 35-35.5", should I go with size 35 or 36? I assume this denim has some stretch, maybe less than the 21oz. but more than UHR

Got my pair today, crazy fast! I was a little worried with the waist to thigh ratio on these, but they're just about perfect in my usual size of 35". just a bit tight in the waist but it should end up exactly where I want them to be!
This denim is crazy soft and pliable. I may even like it a bit more than the 14oz- Feels like nothing compared to the 19oz lefty's I've been wearing!

I just received a 35 also -- beautiful denim and construction. Same for me -- a little tight in the waist, but should loosen up with wear. Out of curiosity, what does the waist on yours measure (either the IH way or flat across)?
-
@JohnM Flat across mine ended up being about 16.85" or so, probably exactly 17" with the IH method. But the thighs were a little tighter than expected at 13.5" (Perfect for me!)
-
Thanks. Was that before any stretch?
-
@JohnM Yep! Just got them in and only have been wearing 'em for about an hour. I'll keep you posted!
-
^ Appreciated, look forward to hearing how they turn out and how much stretch you get.
-
@JohnM After one day of wear I'm at 17.5" using the iron heart waist measuring method!

^ Thanks SBE2002. I think I'm in a similar boat with my size 35 (will check tonight). Great pair of jeans, nice heavy duty, soft denim and cut -- room up top but relatively trim below.
-
@JohnM Agreed! It took me a while to come around to the 888's- Coming from Levi's 511's, the 888's felt so baggy the first time I tried them on. Now that I'm used to it, they feel perfect!

ordered a pair today. thanks to @Bailey for the help with sizing
