Guitars anyone???

Just got this in this morning. Wow, this one is very, very good.
(I've become a bit of an ES style convert in recent years. Played super strats for a long time, then Les Pauls for many years. Just getting old I suppose ) -
@JunkPants gorgeous man, love the maple
-
My trusty Jazz bass that has seen hundreds of gigs and multiple areas of the world.

Here’s my beloved custom shop 1950s thinline telecaster/nocaster. Any tele fans will know that fender didn’t make thinline teles in the 50s but this one was imagined as what they would have made if they were doing thinlines in the 50s.. I don’t get to play it much these days, because I have kids.
-
@VoodooRay such a cool guitar. I have always wanted a thinline Tele. Is it pretty light?
-
@VoodooRay here all day for telecasters

Throwback to a few years ago during Covid lockdown, stuck in a car with my guitar while my wife was at an ultrasound appt for our son. Appropriate time to sing the blues right
Guitar is a Wayne Henderson D18 that I regrettably sold years later to fund preschool tuition. Dad life.

This is a borrowed Epi. I only played about 6 songs with my friend's band a few weeks back. But I have a Gibson Cherry 335. I've owned that for 15-20 years now. Love it. I mainly noodle on my Taylor these days, but I had a problem for MANY years.
-
@JunkPants I have always wanted one of these. By far the nicest looking 335 they make. Bet it is a dream to play!

Thank you! Not to fuel the GAS too bad, but, yes, it really is!

I found a shot of my ES-335 in a text chain trying to convince a friend he needed one for himself.... a different friend who owns the Epi I was playing above, but they are both in the same band.
-
@SKT i never thought about it as being particularly light.. I used to play an SG that was lighter. It’s a while since I’ve held one but I’d say it’s similar enough to a strat weight wise.. maybe.
-
Here’s my other guitars that I rarely get to play anymore.. epiphone sheraton, got this about 20 years ago and a lyon & healy parlour guitar from the 1920s.. this little guitar has a massive sound..
-
@chillmonroe enjoyed your picking and singing in this tune. The Henderson sounds great, I can see why you regret parting with it
-
@VoodooRay couple more beauties. I’m really drawn to the parlor. Is that a mahogany top? I’ve always loved the dry response of hog topped guitars

Finally picked this up this year. It's a murphy lab R0, but I got a really good deal on it (around $3000.00 USD) from my local guitar center. First thing I did when I got it home was took some sandpaper to the back of the neck to make it feel more like a natural maple neck. Then swapped out the volume and tone knobs since I much prefer the gold top-hat look of the 59's. The pickups, however, in these historic re-issues are lots of fun...perhaps a little too much fun for my neighbors.......or my wife..
