IH-555-XHSBB - 25oz Selvedge Denim Super-Slim Cut Jeans - Black/Black
-
About 40 wears, mostly full days and already starting to show hints of grey
also getting softer every day
-
@FlavourFade - I am probably behind you in days worn (about 20) but have found that these soften a lot quicker than any other 25oz I have had (XHS and XHSib). They are like wearing PJ bottoms.
-
@Crispy-Heron I only had a xhsib yet but did not wear it longer than 50-60 days before I sold it but comming from that the BB ist feeling great and almost cozy
-
And so it begins...
-
I have a lot of stains from muddy walks with the dog and eating ramen
tried to spot clean in one place but now theres a heavily faded spot where the dirt was. Now I am thinking about soaking my pair to get rid of the dirt but am only 66 wears in and wanted to make it at least to 100 keeping the jeans dry. Don't want to lose the ability for high contrast fades
-
@FlavourFade I can't stand spots and I've learned to not spot clean my black jeans. I'll dab if it's not bad but once I get a spot or few I can't dab out I tub wash. I think your fading will still be pretty high contrast after a gentle cleaning. My black or ib jeans will never see a washer just tub washed gently
-
@FlavourFade FWIW My pair has decent contrast and I have washed mine 9 times in 152 wears. This denim takes well to washes and if anything washing pushed the fades along.
Edit: See here: 151 wears 9 washes:

@FlavourFade definitely a good idea and post photos if ya can
-
@Oaktavia will do sir

The lighting is not very good today unfortunately but took some pictures and am very satisfied that the grey is popping out a lot. Hope this first wash was a kickstart for more fades
(In real life the contrast ist more visible)
-
@FlavourFade machine wash? Looks good!
-
@Bern yes, minimal spin, soaked inside out before. Very little marbeling in some spots but will blend in with more wear I guess. It's funny how they feel a little more rigid after they dried but at the same time softer somehow
-
@FlavourFade gotcha. Might throw mine in the tub this weekend while the wife and kids are away to tighten them back up a bit. It'll be my third wash in about 50 wears...
-
@FlavourFade looking good dude those creases will reset and the fades will advance from here.
