Is there any possibility that there will be a re-run of ISH-170?

It feels like I've been searching for the perfect pair of jeans for decades (actually, I'm 53 so I probably have). I recently bought my first pair of IH: the 666 in 25oz size 33, and it was instant love. They fit and hang beautifully. Incredible craftsmanship etc. I think I'll wear this cut for life. But I also wanted a pair just a bit less heavy, so bought a pair of 666 in 21oz, overdyed. They are also absolutely gorgeous, but the fit is really quite different. They are the same size as my 25oz (33) but are slimmer throughout the leg. (BTW I hot soaked the 25oz but not these, as they already seemed quite a lot slimmer).
Long story short, I'm going to sell on the overdyed 666s (I wore them half a dozen times before deciding against them, so can't return), but still would like to get a pair in 21oz. So, if I buy the 666 21oz in the standard indigo (IH-666S-21) will the cut be more like my beloved 25oz, or slimmer like the overdyed?
If this is the wrong place for this question please let me know! Thanks everyone.

The cut is the same for all three. Have you been using the comparison tool on the product page to check pare the measurements? Personally, I size up one when going with OD. The OD process usually takes out all the shrinkage resulting in a full size difference.
But you should compare the measurements though.
Here’s the 25 vs OD and as you can see the measurements are quite different.

Long story short… if you love your 25 oz you should write down all the measurements and use that as your template moving forward. Every different material within the same cut will have different measurements per size. That’s just the way small batch artisanal clothing manufacturing works.

Can anyone identify the Iron Heart shirt on the top? My IHSH-13-BLU is on the bottom for comparison
I recently won an eBay auction for what I thought was an Iron Heart IHSH-13-BLU 10 oz Chambray shirt.
I have an IHSH-13-BLU that I bought directly from a retailer, so I have the exact model for comparison.
However, when the one from eBay showed up, I noticed that it is a grey color with a fabric that feels slightly lighter than 10 oz. It also has bright yellow chain stitching.
I can’t find a similar shirt anywhere on IH’s website or archives.
Is it possible this is not authentic or is it just an older discontinued shirt/style?
I’d really appreciate any insight.

Hello everybody, so I took the plunge and purchased my first pair of Iron Hearts. I got the 777 in Indigo/Indigo (14oz Selvedge Denim Slim Tapered Cut Jeans - Indigo/Indigo). I went with the 14oz since i live in South Florida and this is my first pair of Selvedge denim.
My question is, do i have to be concerned with the jeans bleeding or having any indigo transfer to things like my car cloth seats, shoes, etc? My understanding is i shouldn't wash them until i have a good 20 wears on them.
-
@dirtyike I'd say there is always some, especially where things rub. I always get it on my boots, but usually not much elsewhere, but I'm also usually conscious to not be sliding out of my seat etc.
-
@dirtyike though I also don't cuff my jeans which probably leads to more on my boots. And definitely a lot less indigo bleed than some bravestars I had. Those got indigo everywhere

@Matt -- thanks so much -- this is really helpful! I should have thought to check the measurements for the different material, but didn't realize this was a thing. For the 21oz, I'm going to look at the 634 and 633 cuts, as these might be closer to my 25oz 666 pair,
-
@IronFart Hi, just echoing what Matt has said, going forward I would take down the actual measurements on your washed/well fitting pair of XHS and use these measurements going forward to cross reference on any pairs you are interested in such as the 21oz.
You will likely find the XHS run a little bigger per tag size from the off to factor in the expected shrinkage, whilst with the 21oz there is no further shrinkage expected.
I would certainly recommend using the Compare Tool which can be found by clicking here, and trust your measurements obtained.

I’ve heard that a lot of the softness of the 21oz is due to the looser tension when weaving it. I’m curious if the 25oz actually uses a thicker yarn, or if it’s the same yarn as the 21oz that is simply woven tighter to achieve a heavier fabric?
@Giles Do I remember it correctly that the 25oz was your idea?
-
@Go-For-Chill Yep...
@Giles said in What is your favorite IH denim.:
Apart from the original 18oz - which I would wear all the time if it was still made, I actually don't really have a favourite, I am very fond of the original XHS and 14oz because they were both my ideas. And have loved wearing them.
But truthfully, if I am wearing it and it has an indigo warp, it's my current favourite....
-
It's as much to do with the double twisted weft as it is weaving tension. And yes, the 25 does use a heavier warp and weft than the 21oz.
-
@Dbol I think that's the IHSH-65, pale blue mock twist chambray. https://www.ironheart.co.uk/forum/post/1747

Curious of the intent/proper use of the double button hole seen on the collars of the M-65?

How fast does the CPO 18oz vintage denim sell out when restocked?
I recently discovered the 18 ounce vintage selvedge denim CPO shirt and realized I'm very late to the party as it's sold out and past reviews of threads seems like it sells out quickly.
How quickly do I need to move to order a popular size like XL when the restock notice Email comes? Is this a matter of hours, days, weeks?
-
@backpackerx it depends on the item. But high demand items can sell out in minutes.
That 292 18oz Vintage CPO is continuous production. If I had to put a guess on that restock, I’d say you have a few days to a couple weeks before XL sells out. But it very possibly could sell out faster too! If it’s something you’re really wanting, best to be ready when it drops and snag one straight away.
