ALDEN

I really wanted those Blackbird milkman boots, but they ran out of my size just when I got the courage up to purchase them. Those boots at Context look great, but $717 has me scared off. It seems like the price for a cordovan boot went up from 650 to over 700 in less than a year. I ended up buying the calf Epaulet Brixton boot instead.
I think the milkman boots were going for $649. When I'm shelling out that much, I'm not going to fret over a difference of $70 here or there. I might just wait for the M&Ms. If the context boots were Black Shell Cordovan I'd probably have gone that way.

anyone ever cop Aldens through these folks?
they have some insane make-ups.
-
Yeah, but I'm pretty sure Finn wants to avoid the bleeding issue he had with his RWs. Don't get me wrong, those are beautiful boots, but it would be a shame to fork out the coin and not be able to wear them with your favourite jawnz.
At least with a dark leather you can mitigate the visual affects of the inevitable.

Well, the argument can be made that if you are willing to spend $500 on a pair of boots then you should be able to afford to wear them and endure the consequences that arise from everyday use. However, for some, exceptional quality and aesthetic is a luxury….and sometimes luxuries get babied. haha.
