IH-634S-B - 21oz Selvedge Denim Straight Cut Jeans - Overdyed Indigo
-
Now I want em even more…
-
For these, do you prefer to size down one?
Generally yes, the over-dying overshrinks the denim, which stretches back out pretty quickly…
-
Are you planning a restock (W32") ?
-
Sounds good

I checked out @Max Power pair yesterday, it´s stunning, the OD 21oz feels and looks so great.

I've been wearing my jeans pretty hard for almost a month now, and there is virtually no evolution except for the stacks and creases starting to settle in nicely.
Beautiful fabric and color. Impossible to not admire.

I'm tempted to size down to a 29 in these jeans. The measurements appear very similar to my Vulcans, after the hot wash shrinkage.
Only problem is I have a 31" true waist.
I'm curious as to whether the size 29, with its 29" waist, will stretch enough?
That being said, I can and have fit into 30" IH gear without too much problem… my Vulcans when they first arrived (already soaked) were 30" in the waist so...
And I know these stretch quite a bit.
Currently I have the 634S-B in a 30, but honestly I can a 29 will look better.
I'm very close to pulling the trigger on the size 31 Beatle Busters OD, because they have the same leg measurements as 634S-B in 29. HOWEVER, the Busters have a higher rise which I really, really abhor (but can live with).
Fucking first world problems...

I'm a true 36" waist and wear a 34 in 634sb. 21oz will stretch a lot if you need it.

@mahlon321, your IH-634S-B - Black Overdyed 21oz Selvage Straight Cut Jeans are defo showing a lot of promise.
I find myself being drawn more and more to black overdyed denim as the evolution over time is quite unlike anything else out there.
Wicked….. -
@den1mhead, this was my first experience with any overdyed denim. Definitely not my last, these are such a great colour and ever changing.

No sizing down for me, these are definitely thicker than my 634SV, 634UHR, and B01xOD.
My Vulcan and UHR are size 30, both. The UHR are only a bit larger than my Vulcans (think 0.2" or such).
B01xOD is size 31, I had to size up because of my 30" waist. Overall dimensions include slightly higher rise than 634 in 30, but everything else looks almost identical. Basically I bought this knowing it would practically be a 634 30 in most respects.
My 634S-B I really love because it looks better with my clunkier boots. So right now I have on the "slim" but still comfy side, Vulcans and Busters, in the middle UHR, and "thick" 634S-B. For me it's great because I have more variety with a wider gradation of sizes.
I also have about a 30.5" waist (sometimes measures 31, depending on how fat I am at the given time), pretty sure I can fit into a 29 but don't see the point. Next pair of this jean when mine are dead will be 30 again.
Cheers

If you didn't know already (not implying you don't, but just in case) the overdyed stuff is going to have zero shrinkage even with a hot wash. All the shrinkage has already occurred through the overdying process.
