I'm a ~36" waist and was on the fence about 35 (-1) or 36 (TTS). I'm went for the 36 and glad I did. The fabric feels fairly rigid and less forgiving, and I think the measurements don't show how slim overall they feel. In a good way, though.

@goosehd Thanks a lot for your response, will do that.
-
@Cents-or-Non-Cents thanks for the info, will take into consideration.
-
@Fadez Thanks a lot for the recomendation, I think I`ve made my mind already and will go TTS, Br

Only 3 wears after a pre-soak and damp wear, these are pretty comfortable. They're way more breathable than I expected and I could totally wear them in full MD summer. This fabric seems tough as nails and I'm wondering how it'll soften. I have no complaints, just curious how it'll go. The fit is fantastic, My 888's with a larger waist and a slimmer hem seem to be perfect for my form and preference. They seem to have formed nearly as well as any denim I have, and had just enough give for the waist to give me a perfect amount of slack. These are going to be one of my main pairs for sure.

These are super good pants, and I'm pleasantly surprised how they form to your body, like the 21 oz denim (my only other Iron Hearts). For sizing, definitely go up in waist size. I ordered a tag 34 that was listed as 34.6" and they were more like 33. Then I ordered a tag 35 that was listed as 35.5" and more like 34 in reality. The smaller ones I'll give to my son, and the 35 I'll see if my tailor can expand the waist a bit.

@Transporter that’s a pretty big variation, I think the discrepancy is in measuring methods. IH has a particular way. Hope this helps. https://www.ironheart.co.uk/content/how-we-measure-bottoms
-
Are you measuring like IH does? That got me with my first pair. Literally my only complaint about anything IH. Not a fan of the way they measure waists.
But hey, it’s a quibble. I’ll be roasting my ass in 95 degree weather tomorrow biking in to work wearing something IH. Maybe I’ll put the 25oz on haha.
-
@WhiskeySandwich That is possible. I measured them using my 888s as a guide.
-
@drewfonse Haha, that's what I need to do with these ducks! I'm hoping to get 1/2" or so stretch and they'll be perfect.
-
How do these do in warm weather? @Mizmazzle any thoughts? And does anyone do button down / business casual with these?
Thinking about picking up these or 9 oz chinos. I think the chinos would be cooler (less hot) but I like these better
-
@natefreezy I just got mine a couple weeks ago, down here in Mexico we have been around the 34º to 38º C, and no problem at all. I can wear 21oz with this weather but the 17oz Duck are for sure lighter and very comfortable.

Finally got around to a photo.

These ducks get the krispiest combs ever. The fabrics is great. Didn’t think it would break in like this. Formed much better than expected.
-
@natefreezy they do really well in warm weather. Not sure which would be better the chinos or the ducks, but I know you won’t regret using the ducks for warm weather scenarios
-
@Alex Any idea if these could be "overdyed" to another color (e.g. dark brown)? I'm interested if the fabric would accept the dye.
-
@Alex Thank you for your reply. I'm currently looking for a pair of pants that I can dye dark brown and will consider your point when making my decision. Basically, I was thinking about getting a second pair of 888D to dye those in dark brown since I would only have to go one or two shades darker rather than changing the color of the pants entirely which is riskier to do in general. Also considering other factors such as what is the most comfortable fabric to wear, selvedge, breathability etc.
