RE: Iron Heart Products - What do you think we should make?
A cozy fleece jacket (I edited the photo of an existing green Patagonia jacket below as a mock-up/example to illustrate what I mean):
- turquoise like the IHSH-287-TUR
- high pile fleece
- double vertical zippers, zipped side pockets, inside pockets, two way zippers
- full cream, black or orange hardware contrast details

RE: IH-634S - 21oz Selvedge Denim Straight Cut Jeans - Indigo
Found a photo of my old pair of 634S on my phone which I no longer wear (but still have) ever since converting to exclusively wearing 888s:

RE: Random questions to which you seek an answer
Sat down and made a tutorial video explaining how to fix a pulled thread / snag in (Sashiko) fabric. Hope it'll help others!
(Also produced my own soundtrack to prevent any music-related copyright issues )

RE: Random Announcements
I love how every time I go on my own profile, my "best post" (most upvoted post) on the forum is shown as me comparing the Iron Heart Rubber Coin Case to the Babybel cheese:

RE: Japan Blue
Here's an update on my Japan Blue Sashiko Overall Jacket that I've been wearing frequently for more than a month now:

RE: GOOD ART HLYWD - A Gallery
There isn't any thread (yet?) for the Model 31, so I'll post it here instead. I love the simplicity and elegance of the Model 31 which at first might come across as too "usual" or "standard", but is an absolute delight to wear and look at nevertheless.
Model 25 (left) vs. Model 31 (right) - photo taken on my Japan Blue Sashiko Coverall Jacket. Hope you enjoy the somewhat "artsy" photo I tried to create.

RE: IHJ-138-BLK - PrimaLoft® Gold x eVent® Mountain Parka - Black
@jordanscollected "Fixed" it this way for now, thank you! @Giles Thank you, will try your suggestion next time it happens again/if I lose the cap.

RE: IHJ-138-BLK - PrimaLoft® Gold x eVent® Mountain Parka - Black
The cap of the main zipper pull came off on my jacket when pulling on it to close the jacket - didn't even yank on it whatsoever. How can I fix this?

RE: SaturdayTypeFever - Sashiko Blazer - Indigo
Similarly to the above described, the measurements of size small didn't look like they'd work out for me, so I passed this time around even though I wanted to get one.

RE: Rivet and Hide
Ordered a Master-Piece bag the other week from Rivet & Hide, and not only was it shipped fast, but the team also quickly took care of the small miscommunication that happened between DHL and the German customs after I let them know about it. Thank you for the great service, always a pleasure

RE: IHJ-138-BLK - PrimaLoft® Gold x eVent® Mountain Parka - Black
@Alex The newly added two dual entry waist pockets (top entry) in this iteration of the jacket has a micro fleece (?) like lining, probably intended to act as hand warmers. This should be in the description of the product page since it's a really nice (and cozy) feature of this jacket which I'm not sure if the IHJ-75 also had or not - maybe in a different pocket since the IHJ-75 doesn't have the newly added pocket that this has?
Also wanted to add that the link at the bottom of this page doesn't take to the IHJ-138 product page ever since it was released.

RE: IHJ-138-BLK - PrimaLoft® Gold x eVent® Mountain Parka - Black
Thank you all again for your feedback regarding the fit @Karol, @AdamJ, @Brandrea, @Mister_Brue. I've decided to keep it, and I'm very excited to find out if I'll be (even more) satisfied with my purchase in the long run. And thank you, @Shaun (now I can tag you since you have an account), for measuring the two different sizes for me prior to my purchase and your assistance in general.
My next step is to explore the jacket a bit more as well as how it behaves in different conditions and document my experiences here regularly whenever possible.
A few notes from my first impressions of the jacket:
-
So far, it feels like the jacket is wearing me rather than me wearing the jacket But I'm assuming that the more I use it, the more pliable it'll get even though only synthetic materials were used in the jacket's production.
-
The added dual-/top-entry pockets in this iteration area absolutely great, and obviously the main highlight of this updated version and why I bought this version. All these various pockets on this iteration are super useful.
-
When zipping up the jacket, there are 2-3 thicker/bulging areas where the fabric is sewn together and leads to the zipper "getting caught" for the lack of a better description, hence disrupting a smooth zipping experience, but I'm sure I'll get used to doing it properly after I zip and unzip the jacket more frequently.
-
The point of being able to close the side-entry pockets with velcro AND snap buttons provides a bit more security. However, the velcro can get a bit annoying and in the way if you have to access that pocket more frequently which leads me to my next point:
-
I'm worried that with a jacket this durable that could potentially last a lifetime, if the Velcro used in this jacket in general as well as in the most frequently used areas (such as for example in the sleeves to tighten the cuffs or as said in my previous point, the side-entry pockets) wouldn't get worn down and require replacement much quicker than the rest of the jacket? Nevertheless, even though in the grand scheme of things, replacing the Velcros on the jacket wouldn't be costly or difficult to do, it's still something I try to be mindful about about whenever I acess the Velcro.
-
I put the jacket on with only a T-Shirt beneath it, even zipped the jacket up and I did NOT sweat at all indoors. The heat regulation and breathability seems to be great, but I still need to test it's warming abilities in the colder temperatures which is obviously its purpose. More on all that will follow in a future update though after I've worn the jacket a bit more frequently in various weather conditions.
...Oh - and that eVent "tag" (more like booklet) could be a bit bigger. It's not big enough yet!

RE: Where do we report issues with the new forum?
@goosehd I guess using the "split screen" function on smartphones would be the way to do it, but yeah, I prefer navigating the forum on my desktop as I love writing too much text if you guys haven't noticed already

RE: Where do we report issues with the new forum?
@goosehd Damn, I can't imagine doing all that on a phone. Sounds like a lot of work
