We’re re siding out house this summer and Today I picked up the final 4 units of rough sawn board and batten. Pretty stoked to be getting rid of the vinyl!! [emoji2961]
I’m trying to decide how to finish it.. I’m leaning towards ATF (yes, Automatic transmission fluid) but my other option in Timber Pro..
The wood needs to dry for 3-4 weeks so I’m going to do a north and south exposure of the two products and see how that red dye bleaches out.. or if it will..
Lumber is not at all what it used to be, but this is as close and you can get nowadays! Stoked to have a friend with a lumber mill so close.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

@steelworker is “RI” the code for Rhode Island? It looks very familiar and my brother and his wife often get out of NYC to fish and relax up there.

Went fishing today to a fairly remote bit of our coastline. We found this whilst poking around. Had no idea that it was there, had to Google it when we got home…

That’s pretty cool! Sounds like quite the trek to get there. View looking out from inside the smugglers cave is quite a sight as well. Did you guys get to hang out and explore?

I was in the most rural parts of Ohio I have ever seen today and I saw this run down barn.

Do you feel like driving your bike to Ohio? It's 35 miles west of stubenville

I took the opportunity to go and suss out the fishing possibilities at Chapman's Pool in Dorset, today. It looks amazing on Google Earth, but I wanted to see it for myself and work out how best to approach it etc etc. Of course, I took a rod, but did not fish much; I was on my own, there is no cellular signal, very few people, and ample opportunities for me to get into trouble. It is stunningly beautiful and I think later in the season will fish very well for Bass….
On the way went past Corfe Castle...
No prizes for guessing why this is called the Jurassic Coast…
