WHAT ARE YOU DOING TODAY (PICS)
-
So, I went to Bangkok the other day and tried to check out some of the local denim stores:
First I went to Trenner at MBK mall - great for 2nd hand and Evisu, little booth in a crammed mall
The staff seemed to be connected with the BKK Take5 store around the corner to which I went afterwards:
similar to Take5 Hong Kong - great store, good selection, nice staff, IH products
next on the map was Pronto across the street (Siam Paragon) - this was a store in a department store - very commercial - not impressed - maybe their Central World store is better
next was The Adjective in the next shopping mall (Central World)
they had IH products but it looked lost amongst Nudies, Cheap Monday etc. - didn't had much time to chat with the staff, but they seemed nice enough
my last shop on the agenda was IndigoSkin, but at that point I ran out of time and I decided to delay a potential visit until my next Thailand trip… -
No - usually just the bases are covered (jeans) - they can and will order everything you want.
HK had a slightly better selection available.
Shirts and stuff are more handled as a seasonal commodity and come in with the regular spring and autumn shop orders. Again, they will order what you want.
In general the BKK store seemed to be a bit more on the flashy side (lots of SDA jeans with painted-on pigs - the local customers I guess…) and don't forget the local climate (damn hot!). Still the best place in BKK if you need a broader range - IMO -
Have a great show in Utrecht, Rocket. Love those pics, reminds me of our trip there, the old storage caverns onto the canal have been converted into some amazing restaurants. Have fun!
