We have friends moving their boat to our Marina. I offered to make them fixed mooring warps for the pontoon.

Here's the raw materials.....Stretchy polyester braid on braid for the main warps, and 12 strand Dyneema for the short loops that go through fairleads and around the cleats on the boat. The polyester gives the warps the elasticity that is required for mooring warps, and the Dyneema does not stretch, so no annoying squeaking as the boats moves against the warps in wind/tide/chop....

It's a couple of local friends, Charlie and Belinda, Mrs and Mrs Forsyth. Despite Belinda retiring as a Half Colonel recently, she is pretty fucking hopeless at practical shit, and Charlie, despite running a prison in Helmand (imagine that, a lady running a prison in Afghanistan, sorry that is not meant to be in the least sexist, but I know she came into the most immense amount of shit and abuse), is a bit of a space cadet too.......
