WHAT ARE YOU DOING TODAY (PICS)

I'm a Child Care Worker (shift Supervisor) at a private and mostly non-profit home for kids; ages 10-18. The residents that come to us can be placed there for a variety of reasons: abuse in the home, neglect, mental health, criminal activity, etc. We've been short-staffed for the last year and have had major budget cuts. Male staff are always in short supply and this week has been especially tough as the building I work in gets the kids who are kicked out of the main program on campus.
We got one of the residents who is in the process of being removed from the program and they asked for extra staff on second shift. I'm all about supporting my co-workers as much as possible as the job can be extremely stressful. I make terrible money but there are some pretty positive reasons that make the job worth it. I could go on and on about work; many bad times…but seeing the rare child who thanks you for helping them out can make it worthwhile. OK...I'm done rambling for now

Makes me feel very humble and heartened, you're doing such a great and worthwhile job - world needs more people like you.
Drinking cheap beer, unshaven, watching hockey, not wearing any IronHeart, and genuinely not giving a shit
Bloody good on you, hope you can forget about work for a while. And great pic!
