^good stuff, B! The outsoles really make a big difference as well as the round vs. hex eyelets. Now all I need from you is for your foot to grow into a size 12 so I can get your scraps!
Well I'm a size 12D so… ready for some scraps? LOL

I picked these up a while back. LL Bean/Chippewa. Found them at the ll outlet for $50. I bought them because it was too good a deal to pass up. I didn't really wear them much but I pulled them out a few weeks ago and I've been wearing them every day. They're great boots. The only real difference between these and the normal Chippewa service boot is they aren't stamped with the logo on the ankle. The tongue is stamped with ll bean instead. These also have a removable insole (which makes the boot for me, bad knees). I'm not sure if the normal ones do or if they don't. Maybe someone else can shed some light on that. Great boot. I lucked out on these but now having owned a pair I would buy another at full price.

Here's my appaches after about 2yrs of wear. The heel needs replacing, I walk hard on the outside corner of my heels so at this point they're pretty worn. Have treated them once or twice with red wing boot oil.

I needed a reasonable price winter boot and tried Chippewa. They're really well made, better looking than RW so far. Of course Wesco, Whites and Viberg have nicer & heavier leather, but for the price they're a great deal. I'll keep the black LTTs, they're super comfy from the start. 10 E fits me perfectly (10,5 in RW and Whites, 10 in Viberg).

@Max Power - what model are the black lace to toe? It should be M-something. I'm having a little trouble finding them. thanks

@Max:
They are those http://www.cultizm.com/product_info.php?info=p7185_Chippewa-5–Lace-to-toe-Boot-Black-Whirlwind.html
How roomy are those boots in the toes area compare to redwing?
Because I have very wide feet… -
They're E width…so should be wider than most RWs. But I haven't worn them outside. They feel super comfy from the start and I have wide feet too. I can handle most D widths, but E feels better. I'm pretty sure they also come in EE.

Cultizm has a pair in sand roughout than Comes in EE. But with crepe sole.

Chippewa x Jcrew roughouts, I bought them second hand in the summer just really starting to wear them now.

The only 'lining', which I can see is in the heel section (pic 6) … mediocre
